The seaside resort of Brenton on Sea overlooks a beautiful strip of beach and endless blue sea. On the outskirts of Knysna in the Western Cape Province of South Africa, the area is on the Garden Route, one of the country’s most beautiful tourist destinations.
The rugged and ancient fossilised dunes on the eastern end of the Brenton on Sea beach can be explored and during low tide, one can stroll almost the entire length of Walker Bay.
This is a magical part of the world where a seaside holiday can be combined with a host of tourist attractions, namely – strenuous or slackpack hiking into untouched forests, adrenalin sports such as paragliding and bungee jumping, water sports, up close encounters with elephants, ostriches and snakes and retail shopping therapy.

About Guest Houses
For a more down to earth experience there are guest houses. Less expensive than hotels, they offer a more homey environment, as well as more privacy. Converted from a private house it’s a much gentler environment and for those with furry friends, there are also pet friendly options. They are usually well situated with shops and places of interest nearby. Being so small it offers a much more personal and intimate attention to it’s upkeep, leaving you with a more polished and homely experience.
