The CTICC is located at the entrance to Cape Town, a short distance from both the business district and the V & A Waterfront, the city’s premier tourist destination. A water ferry transports CTICC visitors to the Waterfront and metered taxis are based outside for urgent trips.

Fully equipped with generous space, seating and high tech equipment, the conference centres, ballroom, auditoriums and banquet halls are also fitted with soundproofing and catering services are on offer. Along with on-site electricians, audio-visual experts and stand riggers, the CTICC has the capacity to handle the largest of international events at short notice.

Top 7 reasons to visit the CTICC

1. The country’s currency compares favourably against the Dollar, Euro and Far Eastern currencies, making the country a viable option in which to host an international event.

Transport

The nearest airport to the CTICC is Cape Town International Airport, 21km away. Shuttle and taxi companies operate from the airport, however, your host will likely arrange collections and drop-offs. City bus services stops 3 blocks from the CTICC for travel to and from the airport or around Cape Town city and the northerly suburbs.

The massive linocut above the CTICC reception was the creation of 2 local artists, however, 1 died before seeing his beautiful creation on display.

The words Spes Bona (Latin for Good Hope) is depicted on the Western Cape coat of arms and originates from the famous Portuguese prince Henry the Navigator, who, when told of the difficult passage around the Cape, changed the name of Cape of Storms given to it by Bartholomew Diaz, to Cape of Good Hope in an attempt to alleviate mariner’s fears.

Luxurious and large, Villas are ideal for those wanting to self-cater with all the comforts and amenities of high-end accommodation. These usually include several bedrooms, with at least the master ensuite. The kitchen and living areas are fully equipped with top-of-the-range facilities; making it easy to whip-up quick holiday meals or go full gourmet should you choose to. The lounge will have a full entertainment system, including Dstv, and wifi can be expected. Due to the general size of the Villas, they are best suited to families, with older children, or small to medium groups of friends.
