Clean, friendly, quiet and yet offered everything I needed.
Beautiful surroundings and many restaurants and wine estates to visit.
The scenery. Our location was also convenient as it was close to Tyger Valley shopping center and other places in the centre of Cape Town.

The suburb lies just 7 km from Table Bay and about twenty minutes drive from Cape Town against the Tygerberg (Leopard's Hill). Primarily and historically a grape producing area.
Durbanville's heritage and history date back over three centuries. Then, wild animals roamed the Renosterveld and the indigenous people traded with the early pioneers at the Cape. Originally, with Biesjes Craal, Elsjes Corael and Bommelshoek, the Pampoenkraal border outpost supplied the Dutch East India Company with fresh produce as well as meat. In the early 1700s vineyards were established in the area.
The Durbanville Wine Valley lies nestled in the first valley from the Cape, one of Cape Town’s closely guarded secrets, Durbanville Wine Valley is home to some of the most colourful and respected award winning wine cellars in the country such as Durbanville Hills, Bloemendal, Altydgedacht, Capaia, Diemersdal, Havana Hills, Meerendal and Nitida.
