More info about Edgemead
A leafy garden suburb in the northern expanses of Cape Town, Edgemead is one of those places where you find lifelong residents on large, well-established properties. These residents take great pride in their suburb to ensure the streets are always clean and the sidewalk trees trimmed. And they always have time for a quick chat with a neighbour or a new face.
Edgemead is a 15km drive on the main highway to central Cape Town and located within a vast shopping borough. Two major malls are nearby with a third planned to open in the near future. Edgemead is also within short driving distance of several beaches, Cape Town’s attractions and the renowned wine routes of Stellenbosch, Paarl and Durbanville.
The suburb has a host of sports clubs, churches, 2 schools, plant nurseries, restaurants and strip malls for convenient shopping. It's wonderfully central to experience all that Cape Town has to offer.

About Guest Houses
For a more down to earth experience there are guest houses. Less expensive than hotels, they offer a more homey environment, as well as more privacy. Converted from a private house it’s a much gentler environment and for those with furry friends, there are also pet friendly options. They are usually well situated with shops and places of interest nearby. Being so small it offers a much more personal and intimate attention to it’s upkeep, leaving you with a more polished and homely experience.
