Glenmore Beach is a suburb of Port Edward on the southern coast of KwaZulu-Natal Province, South Africa. The region is known as the Hibiscus Coast, named after the bright hibiscus flower – whose colours range from yellows to reds – that enhances the lush greenery surrounding the coastal towns.
Shark nets are present at Glenmore Beach to ensure safe swimming and life guards are on duty during the holiday season. Surfing is good, however, there are rocks and it’s best to surf in the morning before the wind picks up.
The area has a subtropical climate and dolphins are regular visitors to these shores. In winter, the spectacular Sardine Run can be viewed here.
Glenmore Beach is a sun worshipper’s paradise, the uncrowded beaches extend for miles and the seas are delightfully warm.
