Lots of lovely hikes in calm and quiet place. Just beware of the amount and severity of the potholes throughout the town, even in an SUV you are most certainly going to feel them and you certainly can't avoid them all. Go for the quiet and the beauty of the forests.

Beautiful scenery, so relaxing, great walks, plenty to do, birdwatching, delicious pancakes and toasted sandwiches, slow pace of life and the smallest ParkRun EVER!

It is said to have been the inspiration behind JRR Tolkien’s legendary Lord of the Rings trilogy and it isn’t hard to see why. Hogsback seems almost otherworldly and combines the sublime and ominous in a very overt manner. Enchanting and fascinating, the lower regions of the village are sometimes encased in snow... Show more
