The village of Livingstone is named after the famous explorer, Dr. David Livingstone, it was established in 1905 as a major European settlement and made the capital of Rhodesia. In 1935 the capital was moved to Lusaka and the bustling town became a quiet village. Livingstone offers a wide range of adventure activities, from bungee jumping, jet boats, riverboarding, canoeing, horse riding trails, abseiling, white water river rafting; you get to ride an extra two rapids if you start on the Zambian side.
