More info about Marievale Bird Sanctuary
The 1000ha Marievale Bird Sanctuary north of Nigel and 60km east of Johannesburg is a protected Ramsar wetland site (a wetland considered to be of international importance) and the preserve of a multitude of birdlife and a few small mammals.
