Marina da Gama Reviews
I stayed at Ashcroft lake house in Marina. It’s a beautiful setting .
Rooms were spotless clean, enjoyed the pool and the ride around on the Padelo and seen the wonderful lifestyle of the residents.
The wonderful bird life and just the amazing tranquil setting.

More info about Marina da Gama
The False Bay region of Cape Town is undoubtedly a myriad of picturesque scenery, idyllic ambience, and lovely neighbourhoods. One such neighbourhood is that of Marina da Gama which is found in the greater Muizenberg suburb. Marina da Gama was first built in the 1970s as an enclosed residential area and is located along the banks of the popular Zandvlei Lake, which is an inland salt water lake that is connected to the ocean. Marina da Gama is pretty and unpretentious resembling an old Greek fishing village with its array of white homes and eternal blue days. Additionally, Marina da Gama lies in the shadows of the Muizenberg Mountain and has even been likened to a mini Venice where it isn’t uncommon for residents to drop in on each other using boats from the marina development.
Marina da Gama has an excellent geographical location within Cape Town. It is literally a stone’s throw away... Show more
About Guest Houses
For a more down to earth experience there are guest houses. Less expensive than hotels, they offer a more homey environment, as well as more privacy. Converted from a private house it’s a much gentler environment and for those with furry friends, there are also pet friendly options. They are usually well situated with shops and places of interest nearby. Being so small it offers a much more personal and intimate attention to it’s upkeep, leaving you with a more polished and homely experience.
