The Dome in the suburb of Northgate is Johannesburg’s premier conference and entertainment venue. Able to support 32000 people seated and standing, the Dome is capable of hosting practically any event type. The Dome undergoes a name change whenever tenders are put out and the venue is currently known as the Ticketpro Dome. Enhancements generally follow the awarding of a tender and in this case, Near Field Communications has been added to simplify the ticketing process using mobile phones.
The Dome has seen its share of international superstars such as Mariah Carey and Sting, and recently a local rapper was able to completely fill the venue.
