Okahandja Guest Houses Accommodation
Okahandja Reviews
Farm Waldau. Wow! What a wonderful, beautiful family welcome!
Beatrice and Hennie really truly make you feel at home.
Lovely house, garden and swimming pools
27 baby goats
And great conversation.
They took us in ATVs for a mountain top sunset with sundowners
Their sons, Chris and Theo , were there as well to help as hosts and put on a braai with perhaps the best beef I have ever tasted.
They shared with us a 2006 South African Pinotage
Nothing was too much trouble - Whatever we needed.
The morning of our departure, we realised there was a problem with one of the truck canopies. They fixed that, which turned out to be quite an involved and extensive task but when they were finished with that one, they checked and fixed a variety of problems on the other cars as well!
While this was going on Beatrice took a couple of us out again in an ATV on a geology tour. All of this is included just because they’re such generous hosts!
About Guest Houses
For a more down to earth experience there are guest houses. Less expensive than hotels, they offer a more homey environment, as well as more privacy. Converted from a private house it’s a much gentler environment and for those with furry friends, there are also pet friendly options. They are usually well situated with shops and places of interest nearby. Being so small it offers a much more personal and intimate attention to it’s upkeep, leaving you with a more polished and homely experience.
