There’s no other theme park quite like uShaka Marine World in Durban, South Africa. While it’s not the largest aquarium in the world (it’s certainly the largest in Africa), uShaka Marine World is more than just an aquarium, it’s a spectacular waterpark with a series of themed sections. They are uShaka Sea World, uShaka Wet 'n Wild, uShaka Beach, uShaka Village Walk and uShaka Kids World.
The site is named after Zulu king Shaka who was a leading figure in the history of the region.
uShaka Marine World is 16ha in size and is located along Durban’s seafront. The beach in the park is a Blue Flag designated beach, a European accreditation granted to beaches offering all amenities, with high standards of safety and cleanliness. Lifeguards patrol the beach and the water is protected by shark nets.
