The small town of Secunda in Mpumalanga Province is best known for being the second Sasol extraction refinery after Sasolburg… But there’s more to this charming, little town than all that!
In fact, this town offers some really lovely restaurants and plenty of great indoor and outdoor attractions to boot.
Here is a list of the best things to do in Secunda:
#1 Visit Eende Dam
Secunda’s Eende Dam – or Duck Pond, to some – is one of the town’s most well-loved attractions.
Not only is it a green oasis for the town, where young families, joggers and cyclists can go for some fresh air and exercise – but is also offers some stellar braai and picnic areas too, allowing you to cook up a storm while enjoying the day out with your loved ones.
Additional drawcards have to be the numerous kiddies’ play areas and jungle gyms, namesake pond in the park’s centre, catch-and-release fishing – and above all else, the miniature train! This adorable train loops around the dam, affording little ones the chance to enjoy a train ride or two.
If you are looking for a delightful place to enjoy in Secunda, look no further than Eende Dam!
