Welcome to MonTQ Guesthouse!
MonTQ Restaurant, Coffee shop, and Dry Deli are set in the picturesque village of Montagu on Route 62 which also offers accommodation. MonTQ the 3rd oldest building in Montagu (build in 1860) is in the center of town it forms part of the rich history of Montagu.
Following the challenges of the last two years, we have reconceptualized MonTQ finding a new place in the leisure/tourism product offerings that will entice our locals and visitors alike. Based on the success of the month in the past we found it fitting to offer a range of local products that will captivate the culinary passions and culture of the Langeberg/Karoo region.
MonTQ proudly presents a dry deli comprising olives, olive oils, infused oils, spices, Jams and fresh coffee, Sweet and Savoury Pancakes, cakes to take away or sit and relax in our Courtyard, street deck, or inside if it’s cold and rainy and order from the restaurant menu which offers Breakfast and Light Lunches.
MonTQ also presents accommodation with amenities such as Free Parking, a pool, bicycle renting (off-site), free internet (WiFi), a golf course, hiking (within 2 miles), tennis court (off-site), BBQ facilities, and gardens.

Very nice - clean and neat. Internet weak though but otherwise all was well. Super comfortable bed!
It was a comfortable stay. They are pet friendly, and have some nice food in the coffee shop.
We had a very pleasant stay at MonTQ. Everything was perfect and they allowed us to bring our Jack Russell who was recouperating from a serious operation, which was a great help to us.
Absolute value and excellence for money!. Accommodation comfortable, clean and steeped in history. However the restaurant was exceptional. Not the common fare and thankfully so! Each and every bite was enjoyed - thank you for being so passionate about the food the establishment serves up. Both dinner and breakfast earns a well-deserved 5 stars or dots I see. Will be back.
What a pleasure to stay here. Our welcome was good with someone who was passionate about his questhouse. The restaurant is something else. If you want to treat yourself go and book before hand, what a fantastic selection and presentation.

The tranquility, historical few places, cleanliness and friendly inhabitants.
Came up to Montagu for a climbing course with Blue Mountain Adventures and stayed at the Tolhuis with two friends. It was just perfect. Firstly the location, it was only mere meters away from our first day's location for climbing , LEGOLAND. We could literally stop and walk up to our accommodation for a coffee and lunch break! The place itself was just perfect for the 3 of us. Great little braai area where we enjoyed our evenings and the place is simple and humble yet stylish! The hosts, Michelle, Ivan, and Jason their 6-month-old puppy were just very warm and accommodating. Thank you!
