Welcome to Lodge on the Lake.
The Lodge is a guest house nestled on the hillside overlooking the spectacular Island Lake and the mountains beyond. Nature and architecture blend seamlessly into a setting that surely must be amongst the most beautiful in the world. Guests are offered internationally competitive exclusivity in both the accommodation and the adjoining wellness spa. Relax in the central lounge area and gaze out onto the rim-flow pool and the expanse of lake beyond. Enjoy breakfast in the airy dining room or even at the poolside. And all only 5 minutes from the nearest beach.
The Lodge has 5 magnificently appointed rooms, each with full en-suite bathroom, private balcony and unsurpassed views over the lake below and the surrounding mountains. The rooms have been individually decorated in sophisticated style with earthy undertones.
Not only honeymooners can indulge in the luxury and space of the Honeymoon Suite with its 4 poster bed and free-standing stone bath.

It was beyond amazing! Absolutely stunning rooms with magical views. The host was extremely kind and super helpful. Breakfast was amazing. I can't recommend this place enough.
Wonderful host, beautiful views and lovely swimming pool.
Baring the overcast weather rain and power outage the staff was able to assist and arrange transport and restaurant bookings for us which made a possible bad experience a pleasant one.
Such a lovely room and grounds, incredible view and such wonderful hospitality. Breakfast was delicious and the spa treatments were tops. Thanks to Vicky the manager, Smiley the host, Erma the housekeeper, and Belinda the spa manager. I highly recommend the Lodge on the Lake and Wellness Spa.
My husband and I had a very relaxing few days at the Lodge on the Lake & Wellness Spar. The hosts were very friendly and we received a warm welcome on our arrival. Our apartment was very neat, spacious and beautiful with breathtaking views of the lake and mountain. Our stay was just too short and we will make sure next time we stay a bit longer to enjoy the amazing swimming pool and the beauty of this place even more. The breakfast was to die for and we enjoyed the variety of choices we could make. Thanx to Martina and her husband for your hospitality... Keep it up!

Wilderness offers a wide variety of activities for all ages with an abundance of hiking trails, canoe offerings and paragliding available, whilst being surrounded by some of the most pristine beaches our country has to offer. If you love nature and adventure, Wilderness is your playground. For daytrips, you have the option of visiting neighbouring areas including George, Sedgefield, Knysna and Plettenberg. This is definitely a home away from home.
