Sondel Beach House, providing excellent holiday accommodation for discerning families for over 12 years, is a 5-bedroom luxury holiday home in Plettenberg Bay, sleeping ten persons, tastefully decorated and situated a mere 160 meters from Solar Beach, Robberg. This stretch of coast line falls along South Africa’s splendid Garden Route, offering discerning visitors a holiday of peace, beauty and comfort. Enjoy the sea views, the Tsitsikama Mountain panorama and listen to the waves crash against the shoreline.
The boardwalk to the beach opens up to a breathtaking 5km stretch of fine golden sand and beaches.
No Pets of any description are allowed and no smoking in the home. The home is not to be used for any function of any description, used and occupied by the tenant entirely at his or her own risk.
The minimum stay is 3 nights other than in the December peak seasons when the minimum stay is 21 nights.
There are 5 double sized bedrooms each with are extra length single beds and ample cupboards. Each room has an en-suite bathroom where three of them have a bath in addition to the standard shower. Two rooms can be configured with extra length king size double beds.
While the home sleeps 10 persons the rate per night for the non-peak seasons have been reduced on a sliding scale to allow for six persons to overnight.
The Lounge has gas fireplace.
There is a sun terrace on the first floor.
A Reverse-osmosis water purifying system is installed in the kitchen.
Each bedroom has a variable speed overhead fan
Linen is provided for all 10 extra length single beds out of which two king size double beds can be configured.
Bath sheets and beach towels and beach umbrellas are provided.
Spa Bath in the upstairs master bathroom only
Besides each bedroom being en-suite there are two additional guest cloakrooms.
Heated towel rails are found in each bathroom
The private outdoor Swimming pool is Solar heated.
An adjoining lock-up garage with parking for 1 car makes for easy access into the home.
Baby sitting service is not available.
If they are present, whale watching can be done from the balcony.

An absolute brilliant holiday home in Plettenberg Bay. Spent a week in this well appointed home that would fit large groups and family gatherings. Easy and close access to some of the best beaches. Sunrises and watching dolphins from the balcony. Main entertainment area has space and full of natural light. And Solar power means no loadshedding woes.
A fabulous holiday home, within walking distance of the pristine Plett beaches, perfectly situated in a quieter area of Plett.The home is very well thought out, each of the five rooms (one upstairs and four downstairs) are en-suite. The rooms downstairs share a TV-room that opens out onto an entertainment area, with a pool and large braai boma.Upstairs a large open plan kitchen / dining room and lounge is ideal for family and friends gathering. Three outside decks make it possible to find a spot in the either the morning or afternoon sun, and such a treat to view dolphins while enjoying breakfast or afternoon sun-downers from this very comfortable home.
We were totally overwhelmed by this luxurious beach house. It was amazing, with a perfect location! The facilities, bathrooms, bedrooms, bedding, living area, African paintings, kitchen, garage, garden, pool with boma and of course a magnificent view over Plettenberg Bay, Keurbooms, the Tsitsikamma mountains and the Robberg. With only 100m from the clean sandy beach one can quickly sip home for a snack or a visit to the bathroom. The sea water was crystal clear with good waves for body surfing or just swimming. We experienced no currents and could see so many fish in the waves. Beach walking or running is very safe, pleasant and not crowded. We obviously also enjoyed launching our Hobie Cat from the beach and sailing in the bay with good steady winds. The house is so well designed that there is always a calm spot sheltered from the wind, where one can sit reading or having a coffee. Sondel beach house is certainly commended.
It was really great - location and accommodation was outstanding – such a pity about the beaches! It really is such a great livable home - and had everything that we needed. I had to contact Sanet on two occasions - the pool pump and the dishwasher and both times she was very responsive and really helpful.
We had the most amazing time at Sondel Beach house. Situated on the beautiful Robberg beach in a quiet safe neighborhood- it has all the amenities one could wish for. The house is extremely spacious and impeccably neat and clean with modern finishes. The house has a perfect entertainment area and is a very well designed home to accommodate all comfortably. We would highly recommend Sondel as a destination of choice
We wish that it was not a week ago that we were at Sondel and that we were just arriving. Our stay was magnificent. We all concurred that one of the highlights of our week was the house. You have thought of all the comfort alternatives and we were constantly pleased to find another well considered feature. These included the glass door partitioning, the fans, the ability to shelter from any wind position, the gas braai, plenty of cupboard space, surround sound, fridge near the pool, premium DSTV etc...
We were also very appreciative of the little extras you had provided like the flowers on arrival, soap in all the bathrooms, toilet paper, salt and pepper, 30 seconds, cards etc. These all make a great difference.
