The Nest Hotel is a family run country hotel situated in the Champagne Valley in the Central Drakensberg area of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Since opening our doors in 1933, we have built up a loyal following of guests who return year after year to this special place steeped in history and adventure.
Offering exquisite views over the Ukhahlamba Drakensberg World Heritage Site, an area rich in history and adventure, The Nest Hotel is a unique and much loved destination for so many tourists and families from far flung places.
Set in acres of beautiful park-like gardens in the Champagne Valley, our rooms offer a peaceful escape from the busy city life. All rooms are neatly appointed and comfortably furnished, offering a bath or shower and toilet en suite, radio, telephone, and coffee/tea making facilities.

What an experience to visit The Nest. Staff friendly lots of activities beautiful scenery
Venue, food and people were great, needs some attention to detail and a bit more upgrade.
We enjoyed our stay at the Nest. The Location is great, as the Nest is centrally located to all the activities in the area. The Food was enjoyable and the dining staff was fantastic offering personal service.
Lovely family owned resort with excellent service and gourmet meals. Close to the Drakensberg Boys School with beautiful scenery and interesting places to stop, shop and have something to eat or drink.
From the minute we made our booking to the day we checked out, the staff was on the ball, the whole experience was fantastic. When staying at The Nest you get a real, true feel for the area. Accommodation is spread over a large area, containing beautiful/well maintained gardens, as well as breathtaking views.
Very friendly host and the food is excellent! Close by all other attractions in the Drakensberg.
We had a wonderful stay at The Nest Drakensberg Mountain Resort. I would Recommend them anytime.
