We offer self-catering accommodation - 7 unique units to choose from. 4 upmarket cabins, overlooking the 17-hectare Stanford Lake, whose waterfall feeds the spectacular Ebenezer Dam. 3 semi-detached rustic budget cottages 300m from the lake and only a stone's throw from the indigenous forest.
Trout and Bass fishing available and our bird life is fantastic! Fish Eagles are the norm! The farm boasts a bird list of over 200 birds! Take a 2.4km walk through our indigenous forest - nature at its best! Or get on your mountain bike for a 9km ride along a lake, dams, and indigenous forest! By choice, no TV in the accommodation units - there are places close by (pubs and restaurants) with TV screens for sports enthusiasts, etc.
Stanford Lake Lodge is just more than a three-hour drive from Pretoria.
In Room Facilities:The Double Storey Cabin is an upmarket self-catering log cabin that is equipped and decorated to the highest standards. It has three double bedrooms, two shared bathrooms and sleeps a total of eight people. You can bathe looking out onto the beautiful forest. The centerpiece of the spacious, open-plan living area is a fitted log fireplace for those quiet, romantic evenings. A deck provides you with views of the lake and a Weber for braaing.
The Single Storey Cabin is an upmarket self-catering log cabin that is equipped and decorated to the highest standards. It has three bedrooms, one shared bathroom and sleeps a total of six guests. It has an open-plan living area which includes a fireplace. There is a Weber braai that can be used on the amazing outside deck that leads out of the lounge and overlooks the spectacular Stanford Lake.
The Four Bedroom Cabin is an upmarket self-catering with 4 bedrooms; 2 have a queen bed each and 2 have two single beds; 2 bathrooms with a bath and a shower; Open plan living area consisting of lounge, dining and kitchenette. Fully equipped with stove, fridge, microwave, pots, pans, cutlery, etc. Towels and linen provided. Fireplace inside for chilly nights here on the mountain. Use of Weber Braai for braaing on the deck which overlooks our 17hectare dam, also known as Stanford Lake, which feeds the Ebenezer Dam via a waterfall here on our farm.
Our great value budget Two Bedroom Cottage (Side) is a rustic semi-detached two bedroom cottage which has a double bed in the one room and two single beds in the other. The bathroom has a bath with a shower. This cottage has an open plan living area consisting of a lounge(with a sleeper couch) and a dining room. The kitchenette is fully equipped with a stove, fridge, microwave, pots, pans, cutlery, etc... Towels & linen are provided. The Fireball fireplace inside is for those chilly nights here on the mountain. Use the built in Braai in the living area and listen to the birds on the outside deck which overlooks the lake, with the indigenous forest is only a stone throws away!

The bathroom has a toilet, basin and a shower. The open plan living area consists of a lounge, dining room and a fully equipped kitchenette with a stove, fridge, microwave, pots, pans, cutlery, etc... Towels & linen are provided. The Fireball fireplace inside is for those chilly nights here on the mountain . Use the Braai on the covered stoep and sit on the outside deck which overlooks our 17 hectare dam also known as Stanford Lake with mountains in the background and listen to the birds in the indigenous forest right next to you!

The open plan living area consists of a lounge with a Fireplace and dining room. The separate kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, fridge, microwave, pots, pans, cutlery, etc... There is a Braai on the outside deck, which overlooks Stanford Lake, with the majestic Wolkberg Mountains in the background.
Area Information:Haenertsburg
Known as the capital of the land of the Silver Mists, this enchanting corner of the Limpopo Province forms a natural gateway both to and from the Kruger National Park. Birdlife in the area is prolific, with Knysna and Purple Crested Loeries, several species of eagles and the very rare black fronted bush shrike. Over 187 species of birds have been identified on the mountain.
Plant life enthusiasts will be overwhelmed at the diversity of plant life. Some of South Africa's most beautiful indigenous forests and grasslands occur here. The best known trees are yellow-woods, stinkwoods and cabbage trees. An exotic tree, the blue-gum, is the tallest man-planted tree in the world. The forests and grasslands are home to an incredible variety of plants and ferns.

The lodges are situated on a 127 hectare farm with surrounding areas neighboring the Ebeneezer dam, providing an abundant area of vast exciting trails of exploration for any avid mountain biker or hiker. Birdlife on the farm is fantastic, with Knysna and Purple Crested Loeries, several species of eagles and the very rare black fronted bush shrike. Stanford Lake lodge has over 200 birds on its Bird List.
