We understand that the Coronavirus outbreak has been a cause for mass concern, particularly since the pandemic was escalated to the status of a global crisis. In response, we at Arniston Lodge has taken the decision in January 2021
to temporarily close all new bookings until further notice. All current bookings will be honoured. We have taken numerous precautions to ensure the hygiene and safety of our guests. This includes:
- All staff following stringent and relevant COVID-19 hygiene protocols
- Anti-bacterial soaps and alcohol-based sanitizers being placed in each unit
- Frequent cleaning of regularly touched surfaces and strong efforts being made
to upkeep the high hygiene and safety standards promised to our guests.
Feel free to contact us should you have further questions regarding our Lodge protocols during this time.

Wonderful diving spots and splendid shells washing up on the beach are shared with travelers to the village. Numerous bird species such as the beautiful Blue Crane, the South African national bird, can be viewed in the region. The Southern Right whale can also be seen during the months of June to December. We returned to Arniston Lodge after a visit 5 years ago, now being run happily by Berger who was an excellent host and did so much for us . Our visit culminated ina delightful occasion of watching the sunset from Struispunt, having been driven there in his splendid 4 by 4 ! We will be returning ...
Lovely peacfull very clean and comfey!!! Friendly and breakfast was nicely prepared scrumtious. Thank you for the great sevice.
We camped in our tent in the campsite as we love camping. On Sunday we had brunch at the Arniston Hotel which was superb.
we also went to the cave early Sunday morning.
This was not a "break-away trip" as we came through to attend a wedding in Bredasdorp, but I would like to come through for a whole weekend later this year, after winter.

Arniston Reviews
its away from everything and quiet
We enjoyed the wonderful sea, the view the laid back atmosphere, the local people and the wonderful fresh fish that we enjoyed.
The beautiful scenery and clean beaches. Very safe area and not overrun with people. Excellent for fishing, cycling and hiking. The Arniston Cave is a must to visit!
The close proximity to the ocean is amazing.
The beach is stunning. The cave is an impressive sight.
Neatness and quietness of the space.
The staff was e excellent
Friendly staff and great location.
The harbour and beach is within walking distance. Willeen's Restaurant and Mien's Tea Garden was excellent. We were safe and the locals were so friendly and welcoming.
Quiet and unspoilt!
We stayed at N3 seaside Cottage. What a peaceful break away. We often stay in the big seaside cottages. We would really like to recommend they give each cottage a good deep clean and have a look at replacing the stove tops (N3) was badly rusted and completely cracked. The house was in good shape just really needs very good cleaning after each stay. (spider webs on roofs, behind doors etc).(let it have the smell of a cleaned place).
We will for sure be back soon.
Thank you 👍
