Area Information:Very quiet area with no traffic noise, situated in a cul-de-sac. Sub-tropical garden with abundant bird life. Each cottage has their own beautifull lagoon view.
Property Facilities:All cottages are self-catering with their own balconies overlooking the Knysna lagoon.
Attractions:Knysna area: Walks & cycling in the Knysna forrest, trips on the Knysna Lagoon, spectacular views at the Knysna Heads, nearby elephant park, and a variety of beaches in the area.

Protea Guest House offers three self-catering wooden cottages, situated in a large sub-tropical garden with lovely views of the Knysna Lagoon. Just take notice that there are stairs leading to the cottages as it is situated in a large garden which is on a slope.
Loerie cottage features two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a lounge, and large sundeck with barbecue facilities.
Glasogie & Suikerbekkie cottages sleep two people each, with their own private sundecks.
My wife and I had the most amazing honeymoon staying at the Protea guesthouse (Loerie cottage) over the December 2019 period.
The view from the deck was breathtaking and the hosts were so accommodating and friendly. always willing to offer their assistance. Breakfast was served on the deck everyday and was so tasty and the rooms were cleaned and changed regularly. I would definitely go back in a heartbeat and would gladly recommend to anyone looking for a private, relaxing and tranquil home away from home.

All the cottages are self-contained with their own bathrooms, free parking and 20 mbps fibre internet. Protea Guesthouse is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac away from the busy main road. We are within walking distance from town and only 1.1 km from the Knysna Waterfront.
There is abundant bird life and the garden is often visited by the Knysna Loerie (Turaco) and the local Vervet monkeys.
