Our cenrally situated upmarket Bed and Breakfast is the perfect base from which to explore the Southern Drakensberg. Enjoy the heart of South Africa's most scenic dairy farming area with cool, snowy winters or the sunny, temperate days of summer, spectacular autumn colours & blossoms in spring.
The hustle and bustle of city life will quickly be forgotten as you make yourselves at home in our tranquil and picturesque setting. Cedar Garden is an easy two and a half hours drive from Durban with tar all the way. We invite you to come and enjoy this stately home and be rejuvenated by our magnificent countryside.
The world renowned Sani Pass is only 18km away. The 4 x 4 trip is a must for any adventurer and bird enthusiast. This thrilling stretch of road connects South Africa and Lesotho (passports are essential). Enjoy a meal and drink at 2 874m in the "Highest Pub in Africa" before returning to a well deserved good night's sleep at Cedar Garden.

A lovely self-catering BnB right in the middle of Underberg. I would definitely go back there!
As most reviews note, the breakfast is ample and delicious. The rooms are clean and the house and gardens well maintained.The staff kind and helpful. And everything one might need in short walking distance.

Mountain views and the breath of fresh air
It's far enough away from all the hubub to really feel like you're away from it all but also has a lot available to do if you so wish. The scenery is beautiful and the air is fresh!
Hiking, swimming, relaxing.
If you're in to adventure, then Underberg is the place to visit. There's no shortage of trails for running, hiking and mountain biking. It's close to the Drakensberg and Sani Pass.
Breath-taking beautiful! Well stocked convenience store (Elands Rest) and a few nice restaurants to have coffee. Just very cold, even in Nov.
