Khotso offers well maintained camping spots in a beautiful setting. The ablutions and communal kitchen are spotless. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, as are the many pets that wander the property. If you decide on a horse ride, make sure that you pick the appropriate level, our horses (and the ride) were slow.
Amazing little gem. We loved it and will be back. Very friendly owners and Staff. Thank you so much!!!
Lovely situated campsite. Large, flat, shaded pitches for tents; some with power. It's nice to be able to get wifi, free tea & coffee and a lounge area in the backpackers section a 2min walk away. Lovely trail to a small waterfall pool nearby - great place for a swim and/or a beer.
The site itself was beautiful, everything was always so clean. The staff were friendly, very helpful and so accommodating. We had an amazing time, and will definitely be back
Great location and staff. Unit was clean and tidy with fire wood supplied. a great experience which we will repeat if ever in the area again.
Absolutely sublime stay. The nature and farm are beautiful and well maintained. The facilities are cleaned and have everything you need. The animals are happy and well cared for. The people are incredible and helpful, and the ambiance is truly special. Would thoroughly recommend Khotso not only for camping, but also the backpackers dorms and chalets too.
On arrival one thinks you are in a British countryside as the log house is surrounded by rolling green hills scattered with sheep, cows and some 100 horses. The basic but clean accommodation was enjoyed by our group of 11 and each day was filled with activities, from walks, tubing down the river and horse riding. What made our stay was meeting the owner Steve in passing and on our last day chatting over a cup of tea. He is most hospitable and entertaining. We will definitely go back.
Our family had a great time at Khotso. The campsite is small so peaceful, the staff friendly and welcoming. The surroundings are beautiful! Highly recommended if you're looking for a chilled time in nature. We also liked that it's not far from Underberg.
Thank you for an amazing time and sharing your beautiful farm with us. The horse riding was awesome. Just two things I would have liked. More towels.. We were 3 people and not two and some chairs on that beautiful deck to enjoy the view. Otherwise we were so happy there. Thank you.
My stay was so relaxing. Booking was easily and efficiently done. No hidden costs. The farm was breathtakingly beautiful, comfortable, affordable and the horse trail ride amazing! Thank you to Afristay and Khotso Lodge...loved it!

Amazing hospitality. Everything you need and more. Tasteful and comfortable. Loved feeding the animals. Beautiful outdoor area and scenery. Wallk down to the river.
Will definitely come back.
Mountain views and the breath of fresh air
It's far enough away from all the hubub to really feel like you're away from it all but also has a lot available to do if you so wish. The scenery is beautiful and the air is fresh!
Hiking, swimming, relaxing.
If you're in to adventure, then Underberg is the place to visit. There's no shortage of trails for running, hiking and mountain biking. It's close to the Drakensberg and Sani Pass.
Breath-taking beautiful! Well stocked convenience store (Elands Rest) and a few nice restaurants to have coffee. Just very cold, even in Nov.
Scenery in the surroundings.
For us its all about the hiking in the mountains.
Scenery!!
Beautiful part of the country!!
