We offer you a choice of two self-catering chalets with a magnificent view overlooking the Bell Park Dam to the mountains. If you would rather be away from busy and large establishments then this is your best bet and there are many activities within easy driving distance so you have the best of both worlds.
Bergvlei Cottage is a cosy, comfortable self-catering Cottage with a stunning view overlooking Bell Park Dam to the impressive Cathkin range of the Drakensberg Mountains. It has a large main bedroom with bath and shower over the bath, toilet and basin en-suite. The mezzanine floor has a double and 2 singles and is serviced by a second bathroom downstairs consisting of a shower, toilet and basin. A lounge and dining room area leads onto a fully equipped kitchenette which has a stove, fridge with deep freeze and microwave and a nook in the garden has a built braai for outdoor cooking. There is a HiFi and full DSTV in the unit. The cottage is reasonably close to the main house so security is excellent but has been tastefully screened for perfect privacy in its own garden area.
Bahati Tree Lodge is built about 4.5 metres off the ground in a copse of trees, some of which actually grow through the house. The view from the open plan lounge and kitchen across the Bell Park Dam Valley is magnificent and lends itself to the peace and quiet of the area. There is a cosy fireplace in the lounge. A deck is cantilevered out from the lounge area and has a gas braai and an outside braai area has a fire pit with a wonderful view for those beautiful, warm evenings under the stars.
The wooden cabin is luxuriously fitted out with a double bedroom en-suite (Jacuzzi, shower, basin and toilet). The downstairs bedroom has 2 single beds and a beautiful walk-in shower looking out over the dam. Completely equipped for self-catering, this cabin gives perfect privacy for anyone who wants to get away from the madding crowds and take in wonderful views and a country feel. The cabin does not have TV but a music centre is supplied. A beautiful rock pool on the premises completes this idyllic spot.
Bahati Tree Lodge has WiFi so is the perfect spot for those wanting a quiet environment to work remotely away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
