Excellent elegant boutique 5 star accomodation. Very tastefully decorated, friendly hostess greeting and advice on dining. We were very pleased and happy staying in the generously upgraded beautiful warmly lit, and spacious Mahogany room with its huge bathroom and jacuzzi style bathtub. A very mysterious elegantly subtle scent filled the air that added that wonderful relaxed feeling in the rest of the common open space. Breakfast was fresh and varied with hearty choices. Best delicious omelette on this side of the planet should not be missed when staying there. On advice from the owner we adventured by Uber to Marine drive and dined at the Olive and oil and Angelo"s which were great restaurants with Italian/Mediterranean food and only approx. 5 mins away.

Quite big and nice guesthouse. Very clean and comfortable rooms, perfect! Breakfast was very good. Close to many shops and restaurants. Easy to find. There is as well a nice swimming pool. Good value for money.

Very well managed, you will get any kind of help if you needed and maybe more. The management team knows what a traveler need in a foreign country. It located in a very safe neighborhood, mins away from the beach and a big shopping center by car.

Staff and service are excellent! Rooms are beautiful, well equipped and serviced daily. Good location close enough to everything, by car but very safe n quiet. Good trust system on bar area and it was great that we could have the use of lounge area so perfect location to celebrate my dad's 70th. Would highly recommend.

Excellent service and cleanliness, I am more than satisfied with my stay here. I wish I could have stayed longer :-). I want to come back and this time with my friends, hopefully we can stay longer maybe a weekend.

Perfectly quaint BnB. Great and safe location. Close to great restaurants and bars in Umhlanga Rocks. Loved the "Honer Bar" for drinks and snacks. Breakfast was always on point. Wouldn't bother looking to stay anywhere else when we return

Central, close to everything. my stay was great, loved the room and service. will definitely use again for any trips i may need to do Durban or surrounding areas.

Portia and the team did a great job of looking after us on Comrades weekend which brings with it all sorts of mad hours. The rooms are very well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. The lounge and honesty bar are excellent. A good selection of fresh and cooked food for breakfast.

A truly wonderful stay, for our family; third time for my other half. Everywhere you look it's spotlessly clean, all staff are friendly and welcoming, stylish and elegant decor. The amenities are second to none, everything you could possibly require has been thought of. The cooked to order breakfast was excellent all week, with a varied selection on the cold buffet. What else can I say but next time we're all in Durban, we can't wait to return to Forest Manor. Thank you so much Portia and sorry it's taken me so long to post this!

My wife, step-son, his girl-friend, and myself stayed here over the Comrades weekend. Super location, just up from the beach, 10 mins from the Gateway Mall, The Oyster Box Hotel, 15 mins to the Runner's Registration & Expo., and an easy drive post-run back to the GH. Friendly staff, nice breakfast, very clean and quiet. Will definitely stay there again!
