“From the moment you arrive you cannot help but be in awe of this incredible 5 star self-catering lodge. The Lodge Manager greets you with welcome drinks, and you gaze down the passage to the large open plan living area, not knowing what is waiting once you step through those large glass sliding doors. It is only once you step outside that you can really appreciate this hidden location – overlooking an infinity pool and gazing across the Crocodile River into Kruger National Park. From the expansive deck, the blissful sounds of the nature heighten your senses, your eyes become accustomed to the bush, river and all the amazing creatures in this natural habitat.
The luxuriousness of the lodge is hard to explain, there you are in the middle of the bush, but have everything one would expect in a top market city establishment. The fully equipped kitchen is a part of the large living area with dining room table, lounge with big screen TV, table tennis / pool table and bar.
One of the biggest bonuses of all is that the lodge is SOLAR powered. Not only is this lodge supplying guests with an uninterrupted electricity supply but is assisting the environment by using natures energy supply – the sun.”
Buffalo Brooke accommodates up to 10 guests in five private bedrooms. Every bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a bath, plus an inside and outside shower along with a patio looking onto the Crocodile River. The long passage of the house opens to a large lounge and dining room area where visitors can enjoy a sunset drink while watching a variety of bird and animal life. This room further extends to an enormous patio with an infinity pool and braai area where many a bush story has been shared.
This self-catering house features air-conditioning, ceiling fans, satellite TV, a fully equipped kitchen and bar, as well as maid service daily, excluding Sundays and Public Holidays.

Situated due east of the Malalane in the southern reaches of the Kruger National Park, Hectorspruit rests on the popular N4 that connects it with Komatipoort to the east and Nelspruit to the west. This narrow corridor is called the Maputo-Nelspruit development corridor because it is a narrow slip of land that links Swaziland with the Kruger.

The Big Five are found throughout this region and may be seen directly from the lodge. Herds of buffalo and elephant frequent the riverine area and predators such as leopard, lion, hyena and often wild dog are seen here. Waterbuck and other antelope such as kudu, bushbuck and impala are common. Plains game such as zebra and giraffe come to the river to drink particularly in the dry months of the year. Bird spotting is a favourite sport among guests and they are never disappointed with the variety of species in the area.
Game Drives and Bush Walks are available to be booked through reservations at an additional cost with our experienced ranger.

Beautiful house, peaceful and relaxed. The view from the pool is great, we saw animals that went to drink water from the river, the hippos and the crocodile that was always there. Elephants came by the river. It was beautiful.
Excellent as always.
We were lucky enough to spend a long weekend at Buffalo Brooke. The weather was stunning and the accommodation as usual was spectacular. Chilling on the patio and in the infinity pool, overlooking the Crocodile River, was a perfect way to show off this special corner of paradise to our overseas guests.

We were there over the Easter weekend and had a wonderful time. Saw 2 baby lions on our first game drive :-) Also saw a lot from the house on the Saturday while we were in the pool. Awesome weekend, house and hospitality from Bianka and team !! We will definitely be booking again soon.
The perfect breakaway for anyone! Luxurious accommodation with the most wonderful atmosphere and stunning views of the river for everyone to enjoy. Super game drives with lots of animals to see...but the most wonderful part is waking up in the morning...and majestic animals like the rhino & elephant are feeding at the river, only a couple of hundred metres away from where you can comfortably enjoy your first cup of coffee.. Definitely a must see...

The staff are so kind and respectful. We stayed at the bush camp and it was splendid, perfect place for kids.
Mjejane is a great nature reserve, we were blessed to see many animals there, including elephants, Lions, Rhinos and Buffalos, plenty of other animals to see and you can enjoy your drives there without having to go into the Kruger.
