Welcome to Pat's Place,
Many of the holiday homes in Hermanus have been passed from generation to generation and a holiday in Hermanus is particularly special when you stay in one of these gracious homes that are filled with a host of memories of fun, sun, sea, sand, whales, laughter, fireside evenings, family and friends.
Pat's Place, one of the original Hermanus holiday guest houses, has belonged to the Clark family for three generations and they have been sharing their much loved home with visitors for the past 20 years. While the décor and facilities may have changed over the years with a splash of modern style and comfort, the ambience and hospitality is just as it has always been warm, relaxed, light hearted and friendly.

Lovely room and great breakfast
Absolutely fabulous!
Absolutely Stunning. The accommodation is beautiful and clean. A very well looked after garden that is perfect to relax in, under the shade of the trees. A lovely lawn for the kids to play on, and not to forget the pool! The hostess was and staff were so friendly and polite! Definitely going back!
Wonderfully central. Close to the Cliff Path. Lovely breakfast and staff were super. Our host was friendly and looked after us very well. And we loved our outdoor shower.
Best place along the garden route so far
We had a lovely stay. Suzanne was an excellent host. The room was beautiful and we enjoyed a great breakfast. We will definitely return. Also very good value for
money and central location.
The breakfast in the garden was really beautiful.
The five of us stayed there a couple of days last July in the self-catering cottage with 3 bedrooms. Great 'braaiplek' and wrap-around 'stoep' ;-)

Nice and quiet despite being on the main road. Cross the street to walk along the cliff-path to the old harbour.
The accommodation is well appointed, tastefully decorated and very clean. This is the fourth time I have stayed at Pat's Place and Suzanne remains the most friendly and accommodating host that I have encountered in thirty years of travel.
What a wonderful find. So different from the glitz of an over-priced, impersonal hotel, Pat's Place really felt like home. Five crazy girls on a golf holiday, we had the place to ourselves so could really unwind and relax, or party, without fear of disturbing others. We had a delicious cooked breakfast every morning and, thanks to Suzanne's hospitality, it all felt so incredibly comfortable we didn't want to leave. The location is easy walking distance to/from town and if you take the coastal path, you'll see spectacular homes and incredible views. If you're looking for somewhere affordable that feels like home, this is it.

A friendly town where everything you need is nearby.
The weather and the wine farms, as well as their Saturday market.
After leaving the Grand Lux boutique hotel we checked into the Harbour House which was accommodating and welcoming and central to everything. GLBH is out of the way for tourists unless you have a car.
Lots to see there and loved the coastal paths.
The restaurants, the calmness and of course the ocean.
Nice sea side walkway, but the center is too crowded.
Relaxing place.Beautiful sea and cliff views. Lovely shops and large variety of excellent restaurants.
Fernkloof for beautiful walks in Nature reserve. Grotto beach absolutely amazing( all facilities )Fine sand, body boarding and kite surfing when windy.
