Swellendam Country Lodge is a four star Guest House with 6 garden rooms. All the rooms have a private entrance and a veranda overlooking the beautiful garden. You will enjoy the friendly environment and the variety of colourful South African plants and birds. The guest rooms have an elegant atmosphere with natural lines and colours, and modern fixtures.
A generous breakfast is served outside on the veranda of the Guest House, or indoors near the fireplace on a winter morning. For lunch or dinner you can stroll to the terrace of the restaurant next door to enjoy their good country food. Other excellent restaurants and shops are nearby.

All the guest rooms have a private entrance and a veranda overlooking the garden, aircon/heating system, a bathroom en-suite with walk-in shower and some also have a bath tub! All rooms have a 32" HD Smart TV with a broad variety of (inter)national (sports) channels as well as Netflix. The quality beds are made with pure cotton linen. We offer soft bath towels and bathroom toiletries, a minibar, fan, satellite TV, free Wi-Fi, tea / coffee tray (Nespresso and plunger), heater, hairdryer, safe, international plug, detailed information on day trips and things to do, and a selection of magazines.

Swellendam is a one of the oldest towns of South Africa and has much to offer to its visitors. It's a charming historical town with many quality restaurants.

Swellendam Country Lodge has a large garden, restaurants at walking distance, a large secluded swimming pool, and parking is on the property. There is free wireless internet, laundry service, credit card facility (visa, master), and an information desk plus assistance with the planning of day trips and activities.

On the fringe of the town, you will find the Bontebok National Park and the Marloth Nature Reserve; nature parks that provide various possibilities for hiking, horse riding, and bird watching. Driving towards the coast, The Hope Nature Reserve offers a spectacular landscape with its white dunes and beaches. Whales will swim by the coast during the Whale watching season! Also, don’t miss out on the geographically most southern point of South-Africa; Cape Agulhas. Love to be active? Canoeing on the Breede River is a must-do! Eager to taste some local wines?
