Welcome to Bronze Grove Farm!
The Williams Family welcomes you to Bronze Grove Farm and Chalets and invites you to enjoy all that it has to offer. We encourage you to wander around and absorb the natural earthy pleasures of farm life.
The farm is situated at the foothills of the Langeberg Mountain Range and incorporates part of the famous Tradouw Pass and is about 3 km from the quaint little village of Barrydale.
We are a working farm concentrating on olives. We hand harvest and produce extra virgin cold-pressed olive oil and bottled olives.
We have, purely for our own and your viewing pleasure introduced zebra and other various forms of antelope that roam freely over the fynbos covered veld with the indigenous buck, Nguni cattle, and chickens.
KUMBA COTTAGE:
Kumba Cottage is the original old farmhouse that has been restored, renovated, and modernized without losing its charm of yesteryear.
There are two en-suite bedrooms with a double bed in each.
The unique showers are large and have a view over the veld where maybe an inquisitive zebra might stare at you occasionally.
The fully equipped kitchen and lounge open onto a covered patio with a built-in braai and seating.
In the lounge, there is a fireplace to cozy up those chilly winter wine evenings.
Kumba Cottage overlooks the dam and olive grove with open views of the veld and surrounding mountains offering wonderful sightings of the various animals that come down for a drink in the dam.
RIVER IKHAYA:
River Ikhaya is our romantic chalet with vast open spaces and has a river frontage.
It is perfect for honeymooners or for couples just wanting to enjoy privacy, peace, and relaxation of body and mind.
It is an open-planned studio-type chalet with a queen-size bed.
There is a fully equipped kitchenette, an indoor fireplace for chilly Karoo evenings, a free-standing Victorian bath, and a unique indoor/outdoor shower with a view of the beautiful mountains.
The patio is undercover with a built-in braai and seating, perfect for those lazy sundowner drinks.
Your own little jetty along the small river bank and outside Lapa completes the picture.
Please note: River Indlu and River Ikhaya are totally separate from one another and are on the opposite side of the road to the farmhouse, therefore, allowing absolute privacy.
RIVER INDLU:
River Indlu is a cozy chalet offering privacy, tranquillity, and beautiful mountain views. There might be a few Nguni cattle staring at you though or a few mischievous baboons for entertainment.
It has a river frontage with a little outside table for romantic sundowners or early morning coffee.
The open planned fully equipped kitchen cum living area, with a fireplace for ambiance and for warming up those karoo chills, opens onto a covered patio with built-in braai.
There are two en-suite bedrooms each with a double bed.
One bedroom has an indoor/outdoor shower with a view of the surrounding fynbos and the other bedroom has an open planned bathtub also with a view. Each bedroom has its own private loo.
This chalet can be used as a private romantic getaway for two, a family needing quality time together, or two couples needing to escape the hustle and bustle of city noise and breathe fresh farm karoo air.

Reviews
We had a lovely stay at River Ikhaya - very peaceful and relaxing surrounded by nature. Loved the delicate veld flowers. The personal touches to the cottage such as fresh roses was special.
Absolutely amazing
We had a wonderful stay for four nights. River Khaya is perfect for a romantic secluded getaway. You have access to the river right in front of the cottage and is totally private. There is plenty to do in and around Barrydale. Food, warm water spa, wine farms, site seeing and a hike to the Barrydale waterfall. We are definitely booking again.
We enjoyed every minute their and even stayed a extra night! Feeling like you are alone on the best place on earth! Walking on the riverbed was full of surprises!

Nature at its best. Lovely and friendly people who makes your visit all the better!
Milkshakes at Diesel and Cream!
A great place with a nice old school feel you don't get much anymore, Diesel and Cream and Blue Cow are 2 must stops for all! 👌
Beautiful town with an eclectic, diverse population.
Beautiful little town, close enough to Cape Town for a weekend getaway. Lots of quaint little shops and restaurants to keep you busy, but also allows you to just relax and recharge.
Very popular stop on Route 62, you won’t be disappointed!
Diesel and Creme always worth a visit and the local brewery is also a great spot. The Tradouws pass itself is amazingly beautiful and worth a visit for a picnic and a swim.
Diesel and Crème Vintage Restaurant, the vibe and the droëwors!
