Koedoeskloof is an owner-run B & B Guesthouse situated in the Dwarsrivier Valley, 9kms from Ladismith just off Route 62 in the Western Cape. Our smallholding of 1,7 hectares is surrounded by nature with uninterrupted views of the Klein Swartberg mountains and the magical Towerkop mountain peak.

Koedoeskloof is approx. 450kms from Port Elizabeth and 330kms from Cape Town, thus perfectly situated for a one-night stop-over for guests travelling between these cities or alternatively a quiet weekend far away from the maddening crowds in a safe and peaceful environment.

We have 4 double en-suite rooms, unfortunately none are self-catering. Each of the rooms have separate entrances, Rooms 1, 2 & 3 are connected to a shared veranda which forms part of the main house. They have twin- or king-size beds with en-suites with showers, whilst Room 4 has a double bed and en-suite with a bath (no shower).

Our comfy, good quality beds and 200 thread percale bed linen will ensure a good night's rest. Apart from pure white linen (anti-allergy pillows & duvet inners), soft fluffy throws and warm blankets, we also provide fresh towels, complimentary toiletries as well as a tray with a kettle and plunger for filter coffee. The rooms are kept cool in summer with ceiling fans and in winter warm with wall heaters and hot water bottles.

As none of our rooms are self-catering we cater for your needs in our on-site burger & breakfast restaurant. It is a casual dining area and the central point of the guesthouse where you can come to relax and enjoy sundowners on the deck whilst taking in the scenic beauty of the spectacular Dwarsrivier Valley.

For dinner we offer our famous homemade gourmet burgers ranging from beef to kudu, chicken and vegan. Other homecooked meals are also available by prior arrangement. Our breakfast is highly rated and boasts fresh fruit in summer plus a hearty country breakfast with real filter coffee, throughout the year.

We have 2 beautiful dogs, Chili and Salsa, both are Rhodesian Ridgebacks. They love guests but unfortunately not other pets, so please do not bring yours with.

Koedoeskloof is ideally situated in an area that is easily accessible by car or motorcycle so it is the perfect destination to explore the Klein Karoo region.

We are a motorcycle friendly guesthouse.

Great to meet you and thanks for a delightful stay at your lodge, just what the doc ordered! Your accommodation, food and hospitality is both original, humble and warm and I’ll certainly hope to pop by again and/ or recommend you to others.
Eugene, I took your recommendation and did that variation route after Seweweke Pass. Well worth it, remote and beautiful riding terrain and scenery.
I’m back in reality now and wish you both a wonderful Christmas and New Year.

Just a short note to thank you very sincerely for a wonderful stay at Koedoeskloof.
The accommodation was very comfortable, the food outstanding and your warm hospitality everything and more, that one would hope for as a traveller through your beautiful world.
Eugene’s advice on the “dirt-road” route home to George was not only perfectly described but also really enjoyable.
Well done & thank you

Thank you for your help last week Sunday afternoon to find us accommodation and then sending us Braai for supper.
Must have been the most tender and tasty meat we had all trip.
I most definitely will be bringing the family to the area when next we head down to the WCape.
Once again, thank you.
