It was so magical and lovely! Enjoying the braai that's just outside. Hearing the frogs at nights, the morning sun coming through the windows. We enjoyed it so much! The hospitality from the owners are awesome! They made you feel very welcomed, and the small gifts made us enjoy our stay even more. We will definitely come again!

Lovely place which is thoughtfully designed to be very comfortable, even in cooler weather. The views are wonderful too. We very much enjoyed our stay.

We spent 5 nights in this haven of utter beauty and serenity. Our hosts Julie and Etienne were attentive yet not intrusive. Our room, the Protea Suite was meticulously clean and well equipped. We lacked for nothing! If it is quiet, views of indigenous forests and a beautifully landscaped garden you are after, look no further.

Woodlands Self Catering is a lovely place to stay. Great value for money and it was a wonderful destination to visit. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

Woodlands is an amazing, well organised, idyllic place to stay especially for the "get away from everything" mode.
Perfect location, spectacular setting and views. The attention to detail and decor really beautiful.

This is the most awesome place for relaxing and unwinding. Chalets are stunning, the gardens will have you discovering hidden treasures for all the time that you are there. The chalets overlook the forest and have their own portable braais which can have you enjoying South Africa’s favourite past time as well as being wowed by the scenery. There is also an established forest walk for the more adventurous. This is our all time favourite place out of all the favourite places that we have been to, and we will definitely book with Woodlands again.

Spacious, quiet, clean and very well decorated guest house close to Knysna. We stayed for three nights and wished we stayed for a time least a week. Perfect for families – it was unanimous for the whole family that Woodlands was our favorite place during our trip to South Africa. An amazing place.

What a wonderful little gem! Surrounded by indigenous gardens, with ducks swimming in the pond and overlooking a valley of trees, our unit at Woodlands was amazing. Our hosts were very friendly, kind & generous. Little touches, like finding tea, coffee, sugar, milk & rusks ready & waiting for us, was awesome. Our kids were delighted when they found chocolate & hot water bottles on their beds. The rooms are beautifully furnished. We loved the handcrafted pieces of furniture. The setting was just great. It’s peaceful and tranquil. Such a comfortable place to stay. You won’t want to leave.
