An unbeatable view over the ocean and very calming hearing the sound of waves rolling in. Rooms were super, had Captains room which offered a great balcony. Beds were great and from high end Swedish brand Hästens. The whole atmosphere was very tranquil and friendly. Staff highly interested to assist and support and the owners active and keen on every guest being pleased. The kitchen was really good and the wine cellar has a lot to offer. Great support and knowledge from owners and staff to arrange activities and other logistics. All in all a great place.

This is probably one of the nicest hotels with the most extraordinary view we ever stayed in. The hotel is located opposite the heads and the views from the property are breathtaking.
We arrived and the service was outstanding, the room was clean and with all amenities one could need. Falling asleep with the sound of the ocean and wind was great. The breakfast was great and the staff super friendly. The only disappointment was that we only booked one night.

Everything about this place is just so beautiful, my room had the best view that i wished for. The staff is so warm and welcoming always making sure we are at ease. It's such a romantic destination my partner and I enjoyed the peacefulness. The chauffeur arrangements to restaurants are the best. I loved everything about the place.

Passing by this hotel, we decided to Knock on the door, we were instantly in love With this beautiful guesthouse on top of the Heads: The super friendly host and the great chef made us feel at home and more, absolutely a guesthouse we can highly recommend.

This is a true Gem on the Garden Route & the ideal base from which to explore Knysna and surroundings. Martin is a great host with excellent support staff. They all go out of their way to ensure a great and supremely comfortable stay - We were in the Elephant Suite with its Haestens bed - an unexpected comfort. Great wine list and excellent food. Wish we had planned to stay for longer.

Was treated to world class service, great food and a welcoming environment. We were part of a group of Reps who stayed at HOH for the knysna Oyster festival! Martin & Theresa together with their ever impressive team made our time in Knysna feel like a home from home.

Hands down the best view in all of Knysna! Add to that Hästens beds, South Africa's greatest wines, delicious food and the fantastic owners, Martin and Therese, and you have a place you would never want to leave.

When visiting the Garden Route I spent two nights at Head over Hills and experienced: 5 star hosts 5 star views 5 star rooms 5 star wines 5 star food I will definitely be back when traveling through the area. Regards

We have had the best 4 days at Head over Hills. The views are the best you can find, overlooking the Knysna Heads and ocean, where we saw plenty of whales. The meals were absolutely delicious and Webster was just the best! He made us feel so at home and was so helpful, going out of his way to accommodate us. The rooms are equipped with everything you could wish for... including a nespresso machine to enjoy a delicious coffee while enjoying the stunning views. There is also an amazing selection of wines to choose from. Thank you Martin, Therese & Webster for an unforgettable holiday!

The service was amazing with lots of attention from the manager, a great guy! We really enjoyed our stay, and he really made it happen!
The drinks at the honesty bar are high quality, so it's absolutely amazing to have a swim at the pool overlooking at the cliffs with a gin and tonic!
The rooms were stunning with big amazing windows, and the bath was amazing!
Absolutely recommend this spot if you happen to go there!
