Andes Clarens Guesthouse is situated on a fully operational cattle and
apple farm. Visitors can experience a flourishing game farm that offers
tranquil views of the Sandstone Mountains and an array of indigenous
plains game. Andes Clarens Guesthouse boasts picturesque gardens and
is a convenient five-minute drive from the centre of Clarens Town.
The luxurious rooms each feature a comfortable seating area, kitchenette,
and bathroom - providing guests the option of both a bath and walk-in
shower. A gas fireplace, underfloor heating and air conditioning ensure that
our guests experience all we have to offer in comfort. Our rooms provide
reliable Wi-Fi connection in addition to flat screen entertainment. Indulge in
the panoramic view from the safety of your veranda, overlooking the
sprawling farmstead and Eastern Free State grass plains.
Both rooms lead out onto a verandah overlooking the lush garden and views over the valley. A kitchenette with microwave, bar fridge and coffee/tea making facilities is available for your convenience.
The quaint town of Clarens provides guests with numerous options for a
hearty meal at one of its many country-style eateries. Alternatively,
breakfast is readily available at the guesthouse on request. Braai facilities
are available on site.
For all outdoor enthusiasts, Clarens offers rare opportunities to explore the
nearby majestic Maluti Mountains and Golden Gate National Park. For
those seeking a chillier experience, Afriski in Lesotho is less than a 130km
drive from the farm and is well worth the trip. Lastly, one is spoilt for choice
with activities such as: on and off-road cycling, hiking, trout fishing and

Love the mountains for a nice hike.
A variety of restaurants and shops to explore.
We love exploring Golden Gate, wondering through the shops in the Town and visiting our favourite Clarens Brewery. We enjoy supporting the smaller farm restaurants in the area. Highland Brew was a lovely new addition to this trip.
Variety
Main roads to town are recommended for daylight use only. Small town atmosphere but with a wide variety of activities and stores. The annual Titanic Challenge Trail Run was my main attraction - stunning views!

Love all the shops and restaurants there is. Surrounded by mountains. Perfect breakaway for winter or summer.

Small, quaint, but very lively little town with spectacular views all around. Hiking is a must and can be done on the edge of town. We stayed at Views and the hiking trail was on our back door. Beautiful, beautiful little town offering great food, culture, entertainment and beautiful hiking trails.
