Traditional South African meals are prepared & served each evening.
Breakfast is enjoyed overlooking the Crocodile river and Kruger Park as you are treated to the sights and sounds of Africa awakening!
Air-conditioned with en-suite bathroom.
Some units have kitchenettes with a microwave if one needs to prepare a midday snack.
Tea & coffee stations are provided.
The Kruger National Park measures over two million hectares and is approximately the size of Wales. Most of the park is situated in an area called the Lowveld. Restricted to broad valleys below 1 000 m above sea level, the Lowveld is what many people consider to be the 'real' Africa. In this low-lying subtropical climate, broad-leaved and thorn trees co-exist happily in relatively open woodland, interspersed with long grass - and of course wildlife abounds.
One can enjoy Kruger by self driving or on a guided tour. Other exciting options include walking safaris, morning, sunset & night safaris and a self-drive 4x4 trail.
The nearest airport to the park is the Kruger-Mpumalanga International Airport, just outside Nelspruit. There is also an airport at Skukuza located in the park (One will have to check from where flights arrive and depart). The southern, more popular, part of Kruger is about five hour's drive from Johannesburg, and a little less from Pretoria. Outside the park to the west is the Panorama route which offers spectacular scenery.
Swimming pool with lounger and towels
Thatched Lapa accommodates the central kitchen & dining area. We do not have a liquor license so please bring your preferred drinks & beverages.
Viewing deck adjacent to the Kruger Park fence - you don't get closer to nature than this!
Kruger National Park - Big 5!

Superb!! Hosts are interested in their guests. Meals were delicious and nutritious. Position was incredible on the banks of the river. Clean, comfortable and highly recommended.
Great accommodation.
Great hosts and friendly guests.
Such a nice place and hosts! We stayed over 1 night on our way to Kruger, but will definitely do a longer stay in the near future. The view from the deck over the Crocodile river with the Reserve just on the other side calls for hours of relaxation. The Dinner and breakfast were great!
Very nice , friendly atmosphere rooms are very nice and clean, absolute awesome weekend!!
Wonderful as ever...
Fantastic experience. Personal touch of the hosts Allan & Michelle was excellent. They made us feel welcome and really ensured that we were comfortable and taken care of during our stay. Accommodation was clean and well kept with amazing views. Meals were fantastic. Will definitely go back again.
The view are exceptional and the accommodation very clean and rustic. Our stay was improved by very casual hands on Host.
We had a great time here. The accommodation was neat and spacious and the views were amazing. Ilse and Bruce were the perfect hosts and we really enjoyed the braai in the evenings with the other guests.
Staying here is more like visiting old friends and not at all like the normal 'hotel" experience. We will recommend Crocodile Bridge Safari Lodge to all our friends.
We have just returned from 5 nights at Crocodile Bridge Safari Lodge and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The Lodge is set on the banks of the Crocodile River and all rooms have stunning views. Elephants meander through the reeds, literally metres away from you, and endless wildlife visits throughout the day and night.
Lorrie and David saw to our smallest needs and made us, and all their guests, feel so welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for them and it was much appreciated! Although it is self catering, they provided delicious salads and freshly baked breads each night so all we had to do was braai our meat (on the fire David made). Really not like self catering at all! The atmosphere in the large lapa is friendly, relaxed and social, with guests sitting around and swapping tales of their day as they dine on the delicious food and enjoy a cold beer.
The rooms are spotless and all have a deck overlooking the river. Absolutely beautiful! Situated 200m from Crocodile Bridge Gate, it is truly very special. This was our second stay here and it will certainly not be our last. To be fair, it puts the accommodation available inside the park to shame.
And the cherry on the top? This morning we woke up to lions and hyenas having a very noisy stand off on the opposite bank for 4 hours. I left the Lodge with tears in my eyes and a huge smile on my face.
Well done, Lorrie and David, and thank you!
We stayed in a luxury tent but all rooms and tents look out across the Crocodile River and into the Kruger Park. A herd of elephants walked right along the see through fence while we were there. The bed & bedding were of good quality and the hospitality given by Bruce and Ilsa was amazing. Salads and home made bread supplied every evening (all delicious) ended our days in a very relaxing way with no dishes to wash, just need to bring meat (for the braai/ barbeque) and something to drink. After supper we could all sit around a fire and chat. Tea and coffee also supplied and a communal kitchen area if you want to make breakfast and lunch. Perfect is the word to describe our holiday there and we will definitely visit again!
