Stayed here for a month in December. Left on Christmas Eve. Such a great place, Berleen and Steve, the owners were such great hosts. The room was very spacious and tastefully decorated with a wonderful view across the beautiful garden. The breakfast was 1st Class! Really could not fault this place and will definitely be staying again on my next trip to Durban.

Well run, delightful place to stay...brilliant beds (I slept incredibly well there, normally battle to sleep when traveling) clean rooms, nice shower, and wonderful views in the nice quite part of greater Durban providing easy access to both inland and coastal parts of Durban.
Wonderfully caring, interested owners and staff. Took care of our every need, including providing an overseas adapter. A real home from home!
Really enjoyed my stay at Sylvern. Room was clean, tastefully decorated with all the bells and whistles : air-con, iron, kettle, dstv etc. Berleen and Steve are fantastic hosts. Food was fabulous. It really did feel like a home away from home. It's like a quaint little hotel on the hill, nestled among the trees, overlooking the lush coastal urban forests of Westville. Close to major routes while still being very quiet and private. Lovely homey dining area and patio to relax and chat over a coffee.
