We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dinkweng. There is not much to do besides relax! The accommodation was clean and very comfortable. Sadly our weekend ended in an unfortunate, avoidable accident. The tiled stairs, adjacent to the pool, leading down to the boma area, were very slippery (no hand rails or non slip tiles) and resulted in me having a nasty fall and badly injuring my two arms, my back and breaking my luxury watch. Battered and bruised, I brought this to the attention of the lodge manager who said this isn't the first time it has happened and has brought it to the attention of the owners on numerous occasion. I only hope they decide to put some non slip strips on the stairs before they have a further accident resulting in a claim!!

My first Bush getaway ever and the best. Isolated, with an amazing view and a private swimming pool, with friendly and patient stuff.
Even though the last 10km gravel road wasn’t pleasant but got to the lodge and it was ALL WORTH IT.

Where do you start when you have so many amazing things to say?
Let’s just start at the beginning, upon arrival we were welcomed with refreshing water and friendly smiles, we were in awe at the sight of the beautiful animals along the road between the gate and the lodge ranging from Nyala, Kudu, Waterbuck, Blesbuck, Impala, shy Eland, Red Hartebeest, Golden wildebeest, Zebra and Giraffe. Other animals we spotted over the course of our 3 night stay included a Plated Lizard, other different species of colourful Lizards and Geckos, Giant Land Snail and Tortoises. However, of all the different animals we saw, we have to say how blessed we were to have been able to see a chameleon, they are extremely hard to spot, so how lucky do you get?
The elegantly decorated lodge was absolutely perfect, everything in its place, clean and welcoming, with a fully equipped kitchen, beautiful dining room table with information booklets, a cosy couch with television. 3 bedrooms tastefully decorated, king size beds, each with its own en-suite bathroom.
The patio is where you really feel like you are a part of nature, overlooking the mountains from the lodge’s personal viewing deck with a fireplace already stacked with wood, a braai area, beautiful wooden table for relaxation and a splash pool.
We had a rainy weekend from arrival to departure but that didn’t stop us from having a great time.
Dinkweng truly allows you to relax and escape from the everyday rush. This is the place to unwind, to become one with nature and to spend quality time with family and friends.

Thank you everyone at Dinkweng Safari Camp, you were amazing and we hope to see you again, soon!

The location was exactly what we wanted, as far away from civilisation as possible! No WiFi no signal a pure social media/work/life detox - absolutely essential and needed! The Vila was stunning thatched roofs, beautiful design, the splash pool although cold once sunburn felt amazing! The subtle touch of actually having the log fire readily made each time we used it was a fantastic bonus! Not many other places do that! The braai facilities were great! The bath was great each room had its own en-suite! All the bedrooms had their own personal touch! The view overlooking the valley was amazing, and the nlyala which walked by every morning and every night was lovely to see! The sunset also - wow, nothing beats a great African sunset! The walk we did with our guide (who was great full of knowledge) was lovely he knew the answers to our many many questions! Snakes to look out for, giraffes, zebra, the prints on the floor! He was also pretty much a jack of all trades as he made the fires each morning ready for the night! The cleaning staff were thorough and quick which was great too! This is a jewel in Limpopo...if you want tranquility, stunning views and to be away from life...this is the place to stay!

Spectacular
We really enjoyed every second of our stay. The personalized welcome with a cold bottle of water on arrival at the gate was just the beginning of how incredible the hospitality at the lodge was. The decor and attention to detail in the lodge are 5 star quality. Then the view from the deck with private swimming pool was just spectacular and where we spent alot of our weekend. We will definitely be back. Thank you Nicole and Marnus
There’s nothing not to like.

Blissful break at affordable rates.
This is a fabulous guest farm with incredible accommodation. You can take short walks, ride a mountain bike or drive around looking at the animals, but best of all, you really just want to be at the lovely house with pool, ample space and equipped with everything you could imagine.
Absolutely nothing. This place is like paradise.
