Somerset West, in the Helderberg region of the Western Cape, is one of the most exceptional and varied areas of the world. It boasts a Mediterranean climate, with blue skies and low rainfall.

Our fresh sea breezes make our hot summer days comfortable, even when the temperature rises above 30°C. On sunny winter days, the temperature often rises above 20°C. The region is malaria-free.

Within 50km of Khashamongo you find a wonderful variety of attractions:
Cape Town, Table Mountain, and Robben Island
Wine, Whales, and the Cape of Good Hope
Penguins, Beaches and Golf

*Our B & B offers all the conveniences of a luxury bed & breakfast. An extensive a la carte breakfast is served on the terrace overlooking our garden and pool.
*Our Braai facilities are available for all guests to experience an authentic South African braai. A traditional braai evening can be pre-arranged with Tino, hosting you for an evening of fun around the fire.

*Our crystal-clear pool is temperature-controlled and open from the beginning of October to the end of May. It has a depth of 2,20 m deep and is perfect to swim in or refresh yourself during our hot summer days.

*A variety of deck chairs as well as a hammock is available to relax around the pool or with a good book in the shade of our palm trees.

*The use of our beautiful Sauna and Jacuzzi are not included in the room rates.

*It is only a 35-minute drive from KhashaMongo, in Somerset West, to Cape Town, the "Mother City", with its rich historical and cultural heritage: the Castle of Good Hope with its dungeons, legends, military history, and artifacts from the East India Company; Long Street, various museums, art galleries, craft markets or elegant shopping centers.
*Table Mountain was recognized in 2012 as one of the 10 natural wonders of the world, the top of which is easily reached by cable car, or on foot for the more adventurous and sporty.
*Daily ferries leave the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront for Robben Island (formerly a leper colony), where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for many years. A very sad chapter in South African history.

*A beautiful drive from the KhashaMongo B & B lives 2 colonies of African Penguins who are looking forward to meeting you! They were formerly known as Jackass Penguins because of their donkey-like cries.
