Welcome to AfriCamps Klein Karoo.

The AfriCamps boutique glamping experience is a great alternative to standard holidays in B&B’s, hotels or self-catering units and offers international and local travelers a South African glamping experience. Our in-house designed and custom-made 55m2 tents are fully furnished and equipped for five guests with a private kitchen, lounge, en-suite bathroom (with private shower and toilet), two comfy bedrooms with extra-length queen-size beds, a fireplace, air conditioning and a wooden deck to relax and unwind on. The camp is pet-friendly, but strictly by prior arrangement.

1. Arrival

Check-in: From 14:00 on day of arrival

Check-out: Before 10:00 on day of departure.

2. Bookings

AfriCamps reserves the right, at all times – without a statement of reasons – to cancel a booking within 48 hours of making a booking.

3. Accommodation

All tents sleep a maximum of 5 people. Extra items, meals, services and activities are not included unless otherwise stated.

4. Pets

AfriCamps Klein Karoo is pet-friendly. A maximum of one pet per tent is allowed and AfriCamps must be notified upon booking.

5. Payments

To secure your stay a 50% deposit is required. The balance of the booking amount must be paid in full to AfriCamps, at the latest, one month before arrival. In the event of a booking made within one month before arrival, the entire booking amount must be paid immediately. In the case of a late or incomplete payment AfriCamps will reserve to the right to cancel the booking within immediate effect.

6. Alteration booking

If, after confirmation of your booking, you would like to make some alterations, AfriCamps is not obliged to satisfy these requests. It is at the discretion of AfriCamps whether, and to what extent, these alterations can and will be accepted. We require confirmation in writing of your intention to make any changes to your existing booking.

*Adjustments in AfriCamps’ alteration policy due to COVID-19 (Coronavirus) as of 3 April 2020:

- In the event you can not travel to our camps due to COVID-19 related issues you can change your booking to a date within 18 months of your original check-in date, subject to availability and free of charge. Changes must be made 7 days prior to the original arrival date.
- Any bookings moved based on these revised alteration terms cannot be transferred to other guests.
- Only one amendment to travel dates may be made.
- Original rates will apply if your booking is moved to the same season. If your booking is moved from a low season period to a high season period, you will have to pay a difference. No refunds will be given in the event that your booking moves to a period with a lower rate.
- Minimum night stays will still apply.
- You will not be able to move your booking from one camp to another.

7. Cancellation policy

Cancellations need to be in writing and should be sent via email to [removed]

(1) Cancellation made more than 90 days prior to the arrival date will incur a cancellation fee of 25% of the total booking amount.

(2) Cancellations made within 90 days to 30 days prior to the arrival date will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the total booking amount.

(3) Cancellations made less than 30 days prior to the arrival date will incur a cancellation fee of 100% of the total booking.

(4) Once a guest has checked in and in the case of premature termination of the stay, a cancellation fee of 100% of the total booking will incur.

8. General rules of behavior

We expect all the guests to stick to the general rules of behavior and appearance based on common sense and basic etiquette. No day visitors are permitted on the property unless prior arrangements have been made and approved by AfriCamps.

9. Force majeure

AfriCamps and the corresponding farm cannot be held responsible for not fulfilling its obligations due to unforeseen circumstances. AfriCamps can not guarantee the availability of electricity in the event of unexpected power outages or scheduled load shedding.

10. Liability

AfriCamps and the corresponding farm accept no liability for: theft, loss or damage, of whatever nature, during or as a result of a stay on one of our affiliated farms, falling into defect or putting out of action of technical equipment and loss or closure of supplies on the farm. If you leave your tent in an improper condition, AfriCamps is entitled to charge R250, – of additional (cleaning) costs. This can double to R500, – in combination with a late departure

11. Assumption of risks

Neither AfriCamps nor the farm are responsible for accidents (to the greatest extent permitted by law). It is your responsibility to supervise any children. If you notice that any equipment looks faulty and/or unsafe please inform the host farmer as soon as possible.

12. General

Your contract partner is AfriCamps. These general conditions are applicable to all reservations, directly or indirectly made with AfriCamps. Alterations are reserved on the contents of our publications. Obvious errors do not bind us.
