River Crossing Lodge is situated on the airport road (B6) and only 5 minutes from the heart of Windhoek. The lodge sits on top of a koppie on a pristine 6500 hectare reserve, offering unparalleled sunset views. The main lodge building comprises a dining room, a centrally situated bar, a lounge with fireplace, and curio corner. Nestled outside between the lounge and dining area is the lap pool and elevated wooden deck that stretches out under the sun. At center stage, in full view of the main deck stand the Moltkeblick Mountain in contrast to the blanket of flickering city lights of Windhoek.
The 20 guest chalets consist of 14 Twin chalets and 6 Double chalets with en-suite bathrooms. Two of the chalets have been designed with honeymooners in mind and have baths instead of showers. All rooms have feather duvets wrapped in 100% cotton and our bathroom amenities are all environmentally friendly.
Six chalets offer views of Windhoek city and 14 face east, offering superb sunrise views of the Moltkeblick Mountain.
Nineteen different species roam the reserve, including roan, sable, giraffe and wildebeest, leopard and cheetah are also seen from time to time.
The reserve can also be explored on foot while accompanied by one of our guides or on your own.
Existing roads and game tracks make the going easier on foot. The reserve is very hilly, so a basic level of fitness is required.
The main building comprises a dining room, a centrally situated bar, a lounge with fireplace. Nestled outside between the lounge and dining area is the pool, great for swimming a few laps. The elevated wooden deck offers a fairy-tale view of Windhoek and the surrounding mountains.
A conference room seating up to 65 delegates.
Game drives, horse riding, guided or self-guided walks and mountain biking trails are some of the attractions on the reserve.
The lodge has a selection of function venues for weddings; birthday bashes; anniversaries and any other special occasion you wish to celebrate.
The Shops and Malls are in easy reach from the lodge, enjoy a day out in town while you shop till you drop.
