A family room is also available with a connecting separate bedroom with 2 single beds. Most rooms have a sea view.
A swimming pool, lounge and bar area with sea views is also available to guests at their leisure.

Area Information:A wine-producing area in the Western Cape of South Africa. Originally known as the "Hottentots-Holland" area, it was renamed "Helderberg" by the City of Cape Town.
The Helderberg consists of Somerset West, Strand, Gordon's Bay and a few other towns. The district takes its name from the imposing Helderberg Mountain, which is Afrikaans for "Clear Mountain", and culminates at a height of 1137m at The Dome.
A town encircled by exquisite mountains and hills covered in vineyards, with views of the nearby ocean and sandy beaches. It is a veritable paradise for all who appreciate scenic beauty, wine and fruit, decadent cuisine, hospitality, good taste and sense of history.
Somerset West was named after the British Governor, Lord Charles Somerset, in 1819. In 1817, four farmers who owned different parts of Vergelegen (meaning roughly "remote") in Somerset West asked the governor's permission to build a church around which a village would be established. Permission was granted and the Somerset village was born. It later became Somerset West (1850), to prevent confusion with another town South African town Somerset East.

The view is beautiful, rooms very neat and Mark and Eugene was very helpful. Location is perfect and safe parking. Room was service daily. Swimming pool always clean. Shopping centre nearby. Neat and clean bedding.
Brilliant stay over. Very professional and help full with a real home feeling.View is beautiful and the gardens detail of the house is very nice.Safe parking for vehicle and easy access with proper gate remotes and room keys very well marked.lights on walk ways at night is excellent and the best I have seen in all my years travelling.This is a must for all travellers visiting this area.
We received a very friendly reception. The room was well appointed with a stocked fridge and tea and coffee facilities ready to go. The room was clean and serviced every day.The view from the room was outstanding. So picturesque.Mark (the proprietor) is a little treasure. Nothing is too much trouble. We were made very welcome to use the lovely lounge and honesty bar. Looking forward to our next visit. It's such an easy place to stay.

Great place, great service and rooms were very good - awesome location too ! As far as over night stays go - you wont get any better - all the boxes ticked . We will certainly be using this venue in the future.

I have stayed twice at this guest house and will be returning. The rooms are very neat and clean. My personal favorite is the filter coffee and plunger in the room. Amazing views and good hospitality. Ideally located, close to restaurants and the mall.

The fact that even though we were so late because we wait very long for our rental car at the airport our host wait for us and was very friendly and understanding👏🏻

Heldervue Reviews
This area is close to the airport 20 minutes. There are many fantastic wine farms on the R44 there are also golf courses nearby. Amazing hikes at the Helderberg Nature Reserve. Close to many lovely restaurants in Somerset West and Stellenbosch.
