Amadwala means “Place of the Rock” and this Johannesburg lodge is immersed in its 5.5 hectare bush environment. Within close proximity to Lanseria International Airport (30 minute drive) and an easy drive from O.R Tambo International Airport (45 minute drive), Amadwala is a fitting choice for travellers as a base to explore Johannesburg and its surrounding attractions, or to simply unwind. It is also an idyllic and fuss-free getaway destination for local South Africans.The many offerings open to our guests include comfortable accommodation, a decadent African-fusion style restaurant, a welcoming bush bar and private boma venue ideal for wedding parties and private celebrations.

Area Information:Getting around from here is not a problem. If anything you're perfectly placed to reach Lanseria Airport in minutes, whilst Sandton and OR Tambo international airport is a couple of kilometres away. The other advantage is the proximity of the N1, which takes one anywhere in Johannesburg.

This place is awesome. The staff is very welcoming and they make you feel like you are at your own house. Did enjoy every service they offered.. high five to Amadwala lodge🖐️🖐️🖐️
Loved the vibe and feel of the place. Nature is all around with the luxuries of everyday life,just enough to forget. The staff is very helpful and food is amazing! Will definitely go back and recommend to all my friends and family.
Really love it!
We booked two chalets to stay with family. It was a fabulous place to stay, close to the city but away from it all. We had the villa with the pool and it was great. Dinner was also very good. Breakfast could be improved...a lot! It's fine but very basic. My only other recommendation is that it's not easy to take suitcases to the room.
We really enjoyed our stay here and hope to come again
Management really needs to enforce rules that no loud music etc after 9pm or so especially since the tented camps are very close to each other as well as close proximity to the braai facilities.
Very unpleasant when loud music etc is played till 1 am and again from 6am!!!
