There are 7 luxurious rooms, 6 of them with its own en-suite bathroom. Six of the bedrooms opens onto a private balcony with beautiful views. Each room is serviced daily and equipped with air-conditioning, cable TV and free Wi-Fi. A digital laptop safe is also available for all your valuables.
The establishment offers breakfast for two included with every room booked. The swimming pool is available for all guests to use. Free secure parking is also provided.

The Cape Overberg region and HERMANUS in particular (Western Cape) comprises some of the most scenic and popular parts of South Africa. These include the shark cage diving Mecca of Gansbaai as well as the whale watching hub of Hermanus. Onrus is 5km way from Hermanus and showcases the peaceful ambience and holiday vibe of the little town.
HERMANUS and surrounding towns, comes alive every year between about June and November, thanks to the whales that frequent the coastline at this time. These include Southern Right, Humpback and killer whales, which stage wonderfully dramatic performances for those on the shore and on whale watching tours to enjoy. Every year, between 60 and 100 of these marine giants make their way past the coast; spyhopping, breaching and lobtailing playfully, which gives the impression that they are as interested in their audience as we are of them.
The entire area is surrounded by the impressive mountains of the Cape Overberg, as well as hundreds of species of the spectacular fynbos that is endemic to this country. This means that, no matter where in Onrus or the greater Overberg region one stays, the views are almost always breath-taking, and access to the wonders of the South African landscape are only a short drive or walk away.
HERMANUS, Onrus is the ideal holiday spot for visitors that want to enjoy a real South African beach holiday. These ocean waters are chilly, making them refreshing in the hot summer months. The nearby lagoon is warmer, and is also ideal for swimming (particularly for little ones that are not accustomed to the colder sea water). The beaches boast long stretches of pristine sandy shores, inviting families and friends to play Frisbee, picnic, suntan or take a dip in the cool Atlantic Ocean waters. Sailing, kiting and kayaking are also popular sports in the area.

The stay was lovely. Breakfast host was on point and answered anything we asked him. The front house hostess was friendly and accommodating. Would go back anytime.

Overall an excellent place and definitely worth the money. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Staff were courteous and helpful! The manager called us when we were running late to make sure we were safely on our way, and another staff member helped us carry our bags to the car. The room was cozy and the bathroom was beautiful. We'll be back!!!
Oude Schuur is quite a gem. We were met at the gate signed in and escorted to our room.
This was large and comfortable with a balcony to relax on. No sea view but the beach was close by.
Our hostess introduced herself to us and what a charming lady and so helpful.
Breakfast was a real treat and what we ordered was delivered hot and tasty.
The room itself was good and nicely appointed with a great double bed, mini fridge and multiple channel TV.
There was a nice swimming pool but the weather was not conducive to swimming.

A lovely welcome and attention to detail. Worth every cent!
Fabulous reception at Oude Schuur, so warm and welcoming. We were offered a choice of room and opted for the king sized bed with a shower. It was perfect, as this is what were used to and often battle to sleep when we go away because the bed is too small.
The breakfast was good the next morning and everything was as expected.
This lovely guesthouse is modern and spotlessly clean. The manager and her assistant Gertrude were friendly and did everything possible to make our two night stay one that we will remember. We had a pleasant comfortable suite with a large balcony. The public areas are furnished tastefully and there is a spacious kitchen area and dining area.
.The pool is pretty and the surroundings very tranquil. As we were not familiar to the area, Sharon drove ahead of us to a lovely beach area in Onrus. The O.K. Mini market and a shopping center is less than a 5 minute walk away. Sharon was ready to assist with making restaurant reservations and advice of things to do in the Over strand region. One could hardly ask for more.

We love the clean, quiet suburb where we can walk along the coastal paths.
The beach and tipples bar and grill had the most amazing seafood platter and pizza with the loveliest host. I do not know his name, but he was very bubbly and accommodating.
Its "Rustig" and not a buzz, very nice and friendly residents.
