Safari lodge is situated approximately 30 kilometers from Philipolis via a well-maintained gravel road.
The 4-star rated lodge consists of the main entertainment area - the Lapa - and a converted homestead consisting of 11 comfortable rooms each with its own separate entrance.
The lodge enjoys views over the Karoo landscape and is the perfect gateway to the vast Reserve and the base from which all activities are organised.

We loved our honeymoon stay at Otterskloof! Their amazing staff went out of their way to make our evening extra special!

It was an awesome stay, Carina, Kobus and the rest of the team were awesome. If you stay in self catering, have at least one dinner with them, the food was above expectations. They are very accommodating with kids.
I booked a weekend away for my parents for their anniversary. When they arrived back on Sunday they couldn’t stop talking about the amazing service, people and food. Thank you Otterskloof for spoiling them. I will definitely book here again ❤️
Otterskloof provide 5 star accommodation in large luxurious and well equipped rooms. Excellent catering and friendly service. It is a distance to drive from the nearest town but the gravel road was in good condition despite the rain. It should be noticed that this is a hunting lodge.
After a dusty Karoo road, we entered the farm gates and greeted with smiles that made us feel special for every moment since we left. A short notice game drive was arranged for us and the views was breathtaking.
Dinner and breakfast was 5 star, the rooms spacious, well decorated that suited the overall lodge décor.
We will be back with the rest of the family for a longer time in the future.
It was an amazing stay. The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. Will definitely go back and stay for longer. Loved the peace and quiet and the absolute breathtaking views. They made us feel very welcome.
