The Housemartin Guest House is named after the common house martin, sometimes called the northern house martin or, particularly in Europe, just house martin which is a migratory passerine bird of the swallow family which breeds in Europe, North Africa and across the Palearctic;
House martin swallows visit South Africa every summer; they make their nests against houses, mainly near outside doors. We have had many house martins nest against our buildings and, therefore, we decided to name the guesthouse after them.
Like the Housemartin Guest House, our guests return to us time and time again. The Housemartin Guest House is situated in Wilkoppies, a quiet and safe suburb of Klerksdorp.
Klerksdorp is a city in the North West province of South Africa approximately 180km from Johannesburg on the N12 route towards Kimberley and Cape Town.
The Housemartin Guest House is directly opposite the Wilmed Park Private Hospital which is a fully fledged private hospital in Klerksdorp, combining state-of-the-art equipment and professional nursing care with a tranquil healing environment rated to be one of the top twenty private hospitals in South Africa.

Housemartin Accommodation is situated in Wilkoppies, a quiet and safe suburb of Klerksdorp right opposite Wilmed Park Private Hospital. Klerksdorp is a city in the North West province of South Africa. When travelling from Johannesburg, Klerksdorp is only 180km on the N12 route towards Kimberley and Cape Town.
Mascarene Martin is in the same suburb, but a km up the road, on top of a hill. It is very quite and like a farm in the middle of town. Tucked away behind security complexes, you will not even know about it if not taken there.

Within a single kilometre you will find many shops offering a diverse plethora of goods to buy and browse.
Within this kilometre there are two shopping centres, one being a Pick n’ Pay Hyper Market which apart from stocking general groceries and goods, there are a lot of other shops in the periphery such as a pharmacy, clothing stores, a liquor store, jewellery store, FNB, Standard Bank, Post Net, and a Wimpy Restaurant amongst many other stores.
Next to the Pick n’ Pay Hyper Market is a Gymnasium and the Macrovest Shopping Centre, in this shopping centre there is a Woolworths Food Store, butcheries, Waltons, a liquor store and many restaurants such as a Spur, John Dory’s, Panarottis, RocoMamas, Coohbah and many others.
Also within a kilometre there is an ABSA branch, a Post Office, many Doctors, Pharmacies and opticians, other Private Hospitals are within a short driving distance being the Anncron Life Hospital and Sunningdale Hospital.

Close to restaurants and shopping complex. Neat and clean and seems very safe.
The neighborhood is clean and quiet and you don't need to travel all the way to town to get food as most shops are available at the nearby shopping center.
