Welcome to Plaas Wegbreek.
Plaas Wegbreek is located off the R44, 7 km from Barrydale on the R62 route. Guests can experience the serenity and safety of a quiet, Klein Karoo working fruit farm.
The farm consists of 3 units. Appelhuis is a beautifully restored, old stone cottage that sleeps 7 guests, surrounded by orchards and mountains in the Doornriver Valley. The rustic Damhuis, a wooden cabin that sleeps 4 guests, is perched on the edge of a large dam. Withuis sleeps 4 guests in 2 bedrooms, and overlooks the orchards. Each unit has its own well-equipped kitchen facilities and braai area.
Pets are welcome by arrangement. Secure parking is available.
This is an ideal base from which to explore Barrydale and Route 62’s many attractions. Nearby activities include fishing, wine tasting, cycling, game viewing, guided walks and mountain biking.

It is a very nice getaway, the views are beautiful. The host was very helpful and provided a very positive experience. Would recommend for an off-grid getaway from the busy world
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Appelhuis. The cottage was of superior quality and the location was very beautiful. Would definitely recommend Appelhuis if staying in Barrydale.
We truly enjoyed our stay. The Withuis is well situated in the middle of the fruit orchard! It was beautiful. The amenities were just perfect for a weekend getaway.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Plaas Wegbreek surrounded by plum orchards. With an indoor fireplace and very hot water, this cottage is the perfect winter hideout!
The Appelhuis was charming, well equipped, clean and an amazing setting amongst the fruit orchards and beautiful view of the mountains. Yvonne was a friendly, caring hostess. The farm peaches in the fruit bowl a special touch and delicious. I highly recommend this accommodation. Very easy drive to the town of Barrydale.

Beautiful farm among the peach and plum orchards. Very tranquil with peaceful atmosphere.
Damhuis has everything you need to rewind and just enjoy the sounds of the birds and relax with your feet up. Lovely hikes to enjoy. Comfy beds.

A great place with a nice old school feel you don't get much anymore, Diesel and Cream and Blue Cow are 2 must stops for all! 👌
Beautiful town with an eclectic, diverse population.
Beautiful little town, close enough to Cape Town for a weekend getaway. Lots of quaint little shops and restaurants to keep you busy, but also allows you to just relax and recharge.
Very popular stop on Route 62, you won’t be disappointed!
Diesel and Creme always worth a visit and the local brewery is also a great spot. The Tradouws pass itself is amazingly beautiful and worth a visit for a picnic and a swim.
