Jovali Clarens is set on a beautiful farm landscape of over 4 hectares within the tranquil Bethel Estate, a mere 8-minute drive from the charming village of Clarens. We offer 2 fully-equipped 36 m² self-catering studios, each private and located on ground level, boasting magnificent mountain views. The excellent access, comfort, space and highest levels of security, hygiene and service makes Jovali Clarens the perfect place to relax and unwind.
Each of our spacious studios offers a luxurious extra length king-sized bed, that can also be converted to a twin-bed set. The open-plan living area offers comfortable armchairs, a flat-screen television with DStv Premium bouquet, an intimate dining space and a fully-equipped kitchen with a gas stove, microwave oven and full-size fridge/freezer combo. The stylish en-suite bathroom is fitted with a separate bath and shower, and features complimentary Charlotte Rhys amenities and slippers. A Weber Braai with briquettes / charcoal (sufficient for 1 braai) is available to enjoy alfresco dining and make the most of those balmy summer evenings.
Enjoy a cup of freshly-brewed coffee and our delicious home-baked rusks while sitting on your patio and watching the sun rise over the Maluti mountains in the distance. You will see Mount Horeb to your left, and if you are lucky, you may even spot an antelope, or our resident Mongoose family, on the rolling grasslands in front of the property. For nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts there are well-maintained pathways that lead to the Little Caledon river that flows through the property, a mere 500 metres from our guest accommodation. At night you will experience a magical heaven of stars, while the silence, peace and tranquillity culminates in a stunning, stress-free environment where you will no doubt be inspired by the splendour of nature.

Clarens Reviews
Love the mountains for a nice hike.
A variety of restaurants and shops to explore.
We love exploring Golden Gate, wondering through the shops in the Town and visiting our favourite Clarens Brewery. We enjoy supporting the smaller farm restaurants in the area. Highland Brew was a lovely new addition to this trip.
Variety
Main roads to town are recommended for daylight use only. Small town atmosphere but with a wide variety of activities and stores. The annual Titanic Challenge Trail Run was my main attraction - stunning views!
Everything....food, quality of shops...felt safe...clean...friendly people....
Love all the shops and restaurants there is. Surrounded by mountains. Perfect breakaway for winter or summer.
Picturesque . lot of outdoor sport. restaurants .
Tranquil, beautiful little gem in the Free State
Village atmosphere & the beautiful mountains
Small, quaint, but very lively little town with spectacular views all around. Hiking is a must and can be done on the edge of town. We stayed at Views and the hiking trail was on our back door. Beautiful, beautiful little town offering great food, culture, entertainment and beautiful hiking trails.
