Pierneef's Kraal is a vibrant but tranquil place. We expect guests to appreciate the unique surroundings and beautiful setting that recharges the soul and mind. That being said, units are separate and free standing and guests won't easily be bothered by more noisy neighbouring guests. We expect guests to smoke in designated areas only.

In Room Facilities:

Our family rooms have either king- or queen size beds and include a comfortable sleeper coach suitable for children.

Our luxury double rooms can accommodate two adults.

Area Information:

Pierneef's Kraal was declared a National Monument during the 1980's and is a heritage site. The guest units were built during the 1930's by Pierneef himself with materials sourced from the surrounding area. Pierneef stated that he believed that African architecture should be true to the surrounding veld and should blend in with nature, whilst he made clever use of space and different textures to create a living masterpiece!

Property Facilities:

Guests have access to private verandas, gardens, a large guest dining room with a fireplace and a large part of the surrounding garden with ample opportunity to spot indigenous birds, including a flock of guinea fowl and even the occasional duiker.

You’ll love our place because of the ambiance, the spacious units, the garden views featuring various large trees planted during the 1930's, the location 2 minutes from the N1 and N4 freeways, the people and the private freestanding units each with either verandas or private gardens. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and big groups
