Remote Corner is situated on a Jacaranda lined avenue in an original Parkview house dating from 1928. A large wrap around veranda overlooks a tranquil, treed garden and pool. All rooms open out onto the garden. Parkview has a village like atmosphere with lovely walks, parks and a friendly shopping centre. There are places of worship, excellent schools, Parkview Golf Course and Parkview Squash Courts. Zoo Lake and the Zoo are just a 10 min walk away . A five minute walk up the road leads to the historic Westcliff Stairs to the most breathtaking views of Johannesburg. We are very conveniently located for the business areas of Parktown, Rosebank and the Johannesburg CBD. The Milpark Hospital, Wits Donald Gordon, Rosebank Clinics, Parklane Clinic, Brenthurst Clinics and Charlote Maxeke Hospitals, Headache Clinic are all less than five kilometers away.
Due to Covid 19 protocols, and for the safety of our guests and staff we are not serving breakfast during any lockdown levels. We will provide a breakfast packs in the room.
We also require guests to please wear masks when not in their rooms.

From the moment Helen accepted my request for a booking, she was absolutely amazing. She communicated efficiently to ensure that we did not get lost on our way and was generous with suggestions about nearby restaurants we could go and dine in. Upon our arrival, we were greeted with such warmth and let to our cottage/room that smelled heavenly and
looked glorious in crisp white linen, walls and bathroom. The next morning we had breakfast in her beautiful green garden that is nothing short of amazing. Helen’s hospitality is one for the books and it’s definitely a place I see myself visiting again.
