Welcome to our Guest Lodge, located in the heart of the Kalahari, right beside the Orange River. Our Guest Lodge incorporate the finest amenities and state-of-the-art facilities while still maintaining a homelike atmosphere. This great atmosphere is perfected by our awesome view.
In Room Facilities:Situated beside the Orange River, Kalahari Lion's Rest offers guests amazing views, and a choice of 8 lovely rooms; 1 of which is wheelchair accessible. Each of the 8 en-suite rooms is furnished with twin beds, which can be converted into a king-size bed, and is equipped with a small fridge and kettle, a TV with DSTV as well as Wi-Fi access. All of the rooms are non-smoking, and some of the rooms are located on the second floor.
Area Information:The Guest Lodge is close to all that Upington has to offer. Whether you are here to unwind for a few days or for business, we always strive to exceed your expectations.

The room was fine. We stayed in two adjacent rooms and I could sense the footsteps of the person in the next room while lying in bed. Otherwise the location was excellent, the owner was very friendly and helpful.

Great weather. Stayed at Modern Executive Apartment in Schröder street. Beautiful, peaceful and safe place. I enjoyed the friendly people of Upington and the nice restaurants. Mr D also delivered promptly. Will be back again.
Has everything you'd need to top up or get on your way to Namibia, Botswana, or the far west coast. Amazing stat-over options, and amazing people.

The people seem friendlier and more polite than the city folks. The atmosphere seems relatively low-stressed.
Great mall and friendly people in Upington.
Upington is one of my favorite towns in South Africa. It is pristine, clean, people are friendly and helpful. Lots of things to do. Plenty accommodation to choose from. A perfect stop-over to and from Namibia.
Good to visit my birth town and see the growth.
