Awesome...lovely venue..lovely host..parking could be a bit tight if a large vehicle. Suggest using google maps to find venue as N2 off-ramps have changed names
We had a 5 night stay for the cricket test match. Ground was only a few minutes walk away which made the location for us exceptional. The unit was comfortable & clean, had all things to make your own meals and felt very safe. The hostess, Liesl was very helpful and pleasant and made our stay feel very homely. Shops and cafe's not too far away and very easy to get an Uber for longer distances and never had to wait more than a few minutes. It only took about 15 minutes into the Capetown CBD. Highly recommend this unit for whatever trip you have in Capetown.
Good:
This clean apartment is a good size and the owner is really friendly, giving us with some mozzie pads and a lift to the airport to pick up our rental car. The room comes with a fridge/ freezer, microwave and a basic cooker. On arrival we were supplied with milk, tea, coffee & snacks. The best way to get to Cape Town is from Newlands train station which is about a 10 min walk away, ask for 3rd class otherwise they’ll automatically charge you first class. Forget the combie buses in Claremont because they’re slower, and more expensive.
Bad:
The room gets really hot and bright in the morning so you’ll wake up early - this is because there are no blinds on the windows, only thin drapes. The beds are comfortable but soft and you share the garden with the adjacent apartment who’s table and chairs are just in front of your glass doors, which can be good or bad depending on the people(?).
