Reviews
Spacious apartment in the centre of Franschhoek with well-appointed kitchen, separate dining and lounge area and bedroom with en suite. Lovely outdoor area & pool. Secure parking. Everything for a very comfortable stay.
We had a wonderful time in this guesthouse with only 3 Apartments. The size of the rooms are amazing. We felt like we in a suite of a 5 Star Hotel. The staff was really helpful. So all in all it was so nice that we stayed 1 night more. Thanks!!!
Auberge Daniella is made up of 3 suites, each with a different feel. Our Huguenot suite was beautifully decorated, and very clean. Great care for the small touches.
Great hotel location too - it was about a 5-10 Min walk about from downtown Franschhoek.
Although we only stayed for one night, we found the Huguenot Suite at Auberge Daniella to be of an exceptional quality and high standard. Location is very convenient and central. Continental breakfast with locally sourced produce was very enjoyable.
Auberge Daniella is even more beautiful in person, an absolutely beautiful place to stay. I loved all the furnishings, the location, everything was perfection. I'd go again and again.
We stayed 3 nights at the Auberge Daniella in La Cotte suite and were very pleasantly surprised with the space - interior en provisions in the suite. Breakfast ready for each day in the fridge.
The location is just excellent: opposite a supermarket and a nice walk away from restaurants and other entertainment. Highly recommended if you like to be on your own but have facilities of a hotel available to you! All wineries with fantastic wines and often restaurants attached to it literally around the corner!
Lovely accommodation - spacious and beautifully furnished. Hot bread arrived every morning and fridge was re-stocked with breakfast everyday. There are 3 apartments at Auberge Daniella, all very nice. There is a lovely small swimming pool area and patio-type area. Situation is fantastic, minutes from the main street with great restaurants and shops.
It was an amazing room with very lovely and helpful people and in the city centre of Franschhoek. Nice beds and aircon, nice living room and kitchen (for yourself). Also nice breakfast (eggs, fresh bread, milk, juice, yoghurt cornflakes muesli, jam etc)
We stayed here in December and loved it! The location is amazing, being on the main road, it is walking distance to the restaurants and the wine tram ticket office. We stayed in the La Cotte suite. Good kitchenette, has everything you need to make meals. Good lounge area and bedroom, neat linen. Bathroom is a bit small, shower is in the bath. Bread/croissants were delivered to us every day at 9am. Was lovely to get fresh bread but by the last day I was a bit tired of making my own breakfast. The fridge is fully stocked with milk, fruits (which I loved), cheese, eggs and condiments. There is also cereal and coffee/tea. Being on the main road, there is onsite parking. Overall a nice place to stay.
We stayed in the cottage on Christmas Eve and found it very comfortable. It is well appointed and had Christmas decorations and a small tree up which was a nice touch.
I can see people complain that they do not know that there is not a breakfast room. We booked on Expedia and realised that you do your own breakfast in your accommodation. It is advertised as self-catering and this means doing it yourself!
There was a great choice cereal, juice, yoghurt, fruit and eggs. They bring bread in the morning. We were happy with the selection.

Franschhoek Reviews
Always a pleasure to go to a beautiful, clean well-run town. You can walk the town & find great restaurants, interesting shops & even play boules.
The Wine Train for sure
So many wonderful places to eat including lovely outdoor courtyards with live music; lovely bespoke shops plus some necessities like Clicks; incredible world-class wine estates with wine tasting & pairing experiences and the wine tram; lovely accommodation well-tiered; safe to walk around. For an outstanding experience and meal I would recommend La Petite Colombe on Leeu estates.
The view, the quietness, the restaurants,, the wine estates.
Wine tasting trains and trams. Scenery and location.
The relaxed vibe...
Clean, feels safe and beautiful views and hikes.
The village vibe and how safe it is. Also, everyone can walk to where they want to go, instead of getting into a car every time.
Weather, shops, restaurants. Access to vineyards, trips, park run.
Holiday atmosphere without crowded chaos.
